I wouldn't donate £1 to charity for a song that I don't like. I would rather donate £1 to the charity itself.

I've never understood this logic tbh.

Looks liek Rihanna could get another week at #1 then! :o I think One Direction sell well in physicals though, so they'll do well in the mid-weeks like Cher and JLS did.

Lady Gaga update:

27. The Edge of Glory

51. Marry the Night

89. Born This Way

112. Paparazzi

123. Telephone

165. Marry the Night

172. You and I

179. The Edge of Glory

181. Bad Romance

192. Poker Face

208. Born This Way

211. You and I

226. The Lady Is a Tramp

228. The Edge of Glory

276. Just Dance

362. Alejandro

638. Judas

747. Born This Way

I am a bit surprised some of her songs haven't climbed for. I'm surprised that Love Game hasn't re-entered the top 1000, for example.

The Saturdays are slowly climbing. No.18 now.

You're not the only one!

Two questions:

Do Westlife have any more promo for Lighthouse this week? If not then its going to be a real flop.

When was Teardrop by The Collective released?

I mean I would rather phone up rather than purchasing a song that I don't like and don't wish to hear particularly.

02. One Direction - Gotta Be You

11. Flo Rida - Good Feeling.

17. The Saturdays - My Heart Takes Over

30. Westlife - Lighthouse

31. Jessie J - Who You Are

50. Lady Gaga - Marry The Night

73. The Saturdays - My Heart Takes Over

79. The Collective - Teardrop

Ugh. Come on Sats! :( MHTO does NOT deserve to do this badly!
The Saturdays have had (almost) NO airplay and just promoted the single last week on TV, I'm quite surprised it's doing this "well". I mean, I genuinely thought they wouldn't even get to Top20. Their physicals + EPs might help them just get into the Top10, however I'm afraid they won't have much stability.
Hopefully it'll be one of those long running top 20 hits at the least. I hope it lasts for more than 4 weeks or so! :(

the UK is over gaga. Marry the night will be lucky to go top 40 this week, when you compare that to katy perry who wasn't even in the top 1000 and charted at #22 with no video just the x factor performance, it shows how little intrest gaga is creating right now.

Disappointing GaGa is still stuck at #50 since 3am?? At least there is another version of MTN just outside the top 100.
I'm sure 1D will be no.1 officially. They're still climbing, they'll have huge physical sales and they have CIN friday.

Looks like people are no longer bothered with the XFactor, with Gaga not getting much of a spike from her performance (even if it was a little dull)

Just being pedantic, but I do remember The One That Got Away being in the top 1000 before the performance. Not that it makes much difference, but still.

But after the performance too, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars had ALL their singles climb up the chart, plus their most popular album tracks (Katy had Peacock and Not Like the Movies in the top 1000, and Bruno had Talking to the Moon and Mirror in the top 1000, for example). Lady Gaga has no album tracks, and not even all her singles in the top 1000 yet.

I don't think this can necessarily mean Gaga has no interest in her anymore. I think she's still got a bigger fanbase than any other artist in the UK, but I guess they've all got her album already.

Also, Fight For You by Jason Derulo it now at #77 or something. I assume it has a music video now? I don't really like the song tbh. I don't think it'll be as big as Ridin' Solo.

And, not that anybody is going to care, but No Love has dropped out of the top 1000 for the first time since summer 2010. It looked like it was going to drop out before, but just before it did, an advert with What is Love as the music started being shown on TV again, so it shot back up.

It would be so weird if this The Saturdays song charted lower than Notorious, since this is held back, and Notorious was on air, on sale.

I can't see One Direction getting number one this week, I can't believe Rihanna looks likely to keep Jls & One Direction off the number one spot!

Quite similar to Cher's Believe in 1998, it spent an age at #1 at a very competitive time of year holding off expected #1's from boybands of the time 5ive and Boyzone amongst others. Rihanna's held off The Wanted, JLS and now hopefully One Direction with this mammoth hit (ok not quite at the levels of Believe yet and it left #1 for a bit but still!) :D

I'm happy for The Saturdays to continue to grow gradually if it means that they end up in the higher end of 10s.

Then how come she is the highest climber on both singles and album chart this week?

Slow Moving Millie is slow moving. It's doing a 'Skinny Jeans' so far, I haven't heard the song yet though.

Given I'm doing updates this week here you go with another one:

2. Gotta Be You - One Direction

8. Good Feeling - Flo Rida

16. My Heart Takes Over (Radio Edit) - The Saturdays (& #75)

29. Lighthouse - Westlife (?!)

34. Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want - Slow Moving Millie

72. Teardrop - The Collective

106. Shake - Little Boots

So "You da one" by Rihanna has NOT been released in the UK. Well, not a big surprise. The countries that got "WFL" instantly also got "YDO". Where the first single was held back(UK and Germany e.g.) it happened again.
