I don't normally watch this at all but MY GOD these past two nights have been absolutely fantastic in terms of drama. When Alicia got shot I was literally like "WHAT?!" - not even a regular viewer but from when I did watch it she was my favourite character and I have a soft spot for Natalie Anderson, so that was quite shocking. Wasn't expecting it at all either. The whole hostage situation was well played out. Cameron is probably the best villain they've had on the show in years. The final scene of last night's episode where Debbie and Chas were both screaming next to one another when he was pointing the gun at them was just AMAZING. Fabulous acting and a fabulous ending to the episode.

Didn't catch the end of tonight's episode, but I'm told it was VERY dramatic so will be catching up, but the first fifteen minutes were FAB. Alicia better not die!

I'm in the same boat as you Callum I haven't watched Emmerdale in months but the hype of this week has got me watching and it's been brilliant.

Charley Webb was a revelation as Debbie Dingle, a character I utterly despise. Brilliant performances aswell by Dominic Power who has been wonderful as the psychotic Cameron, Lucy Partegter and Matt Wolfenden. I literally gasped when Alicia get shot as I was expecting it to be Zack. But it makes sense storyline wise because hopefully David will wake up and smell the humus.

It could have been any of them TBH, but I was hoping it was going to be Chas or Diane, just for the ~drama~, but obviously I'm deeply saddened it was Alicia in the end, she's so amazing. :snif: I, like you, was surprised at Charlie too. I normally HATE her with a burning passion but she really was excellent last night and tonight. And YES, David and Alicia need to get back together immediately.

For me, this week has shown that the actress who plays Debbie cannot act under dramatic situations at all! I seem to remember liking her during the Gennie's death period but I couldn't stand her screaming this week.

The conclusion to the storyline was brilliant. Cameron frying like that was brilliant! David and Alicia will probably get together, but will face obstacles from Priya and that bloke who's name I can't place. I may even continue watching now. :o

My mum said the same, but I thought she was brilliant. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I was terrified Alicia would die, she's my fave :(

Debbie Dingle is really shit though, I agree. Fabulous week of episodes, so dramatic and tense!

I've not seen the episode yet where they're in the water! Will have to catch up soon. I too hope David and Alicia get back together, they're just MADE for each other! And of course Alicia is the best character the show has.

Gemma Oaten (Rachel)

will be leaving the show at the beginning of next year. Details of her exit storyline are being kept "tightly under wraps", so hopefully it's something big!

That is good news as i find her a weak actress playing a very annoying miserable character.

Agreed. The whole storyline she's had has been really annoying. Hopefully Charity kills her or something. :heehee:

Charity is the saving grace of that storyline. Charity never fails to disappoint me, very strong character and very good or should i say believable actress.

I've been watching Emmerdale quite a bit lately - the sooner they get rid of Amy the better - what a selfish girl - she's not thinking of the welfare of the kid at all.
Have to agree about Amy, i was never overly keen on her but i cant wait for her to go now. The pairing of Moira and Cain really works they are definitely and interesting couple.

I didn't mind Amy actually, sad to see her go. I liked the scenes with Cain.

I hope Kerry's staying on.

Oh that was brilliant just now! A classic Rising Damp moment! I do love Eric Pollard!

Tonight's episode was absolutely fantastic! I love how the synopses and press releases made out it would be Priya casting a shadow over the wedding, but the return of Leyla had me WOW'd! I absolutely LOVED her when she was in it, so I hope she's sticking around for a while! Glad Alicia and David got married as well, Alicia's by far my favourite character so I'm chuffed to see her happy.
I guessed it was Leyla when just the leg appeared from the car. Kind of chuffed about that in a sad sort of way. :P

I really like Debbie! ^_^

I also like Charly Webb herself.
