Even though most of us are against these sort of campaigns, they still make the charts a hell of alot more interesting, no matter how superfluous they are.

So how far do we think "Smells Like Teen Spirit" will go? As well as "Surfin' Bird"?

I say #3, #4. Low top 20 could happen too.

The X Factor has had so much controversy/hate this year, I think this year they've chosen a better song to campaign (Surfin Bird was just a stupid idea imo) and unlike last year where there was 2 campaigns they are all supporting the same one. I have a feeling they've learnt from last years mistakes and this campaign will make #1. X Factor, sadly is less popular this year than last year :(
I'd be all for these campaigns if they were actual CHRISTMAS songs that were being used. Not random hits from way back when! :(
#2, "only" 90,000 members on the Facebook page ("Surfin' Bird" had about half a million) but it'll pick up more in the coming weeks and the ant-X Factor feeling is stronger this year. Probably won't muster enough to overcome the X Factor winner's second week but could sell in similar amounts to Jeff Buckley three years ago.

I'd agree with all of this - and I also agree with Jonjo, I do understand why people choose songs like this, because they're so 'un-X Factor', but I think the campaigns would be better if they actually supported Christmas songs :(

I don't care about Christmas songs, especially given I dislike most of them. As for this poll, I voted #2, I can't see a massive RATM type campaign anytime in the future. That revolution can only happen once.

I'm in team Nirvana though. Great song, and it'll most definitely be better than another lazy cover from XF machine.

No.2 but then again the XF sales could collapse in the second week.
