I can't stop hearing Unovia's Monster (Eat Me) track, it's weird at the same but the part where it goes "And I just want you to EeeaattttTT Meh" is just so good :cheer:

If it's not clear, is there any Aussies pop artists in the contest? :kink:

I've gone with a Kiwi who won Aussie Idol...

Aussie solo pop females always seem to capitalise on months with no obvious winner - Zoe Badwi, Jessica Mauboy, Ricki-Lee - I guess that's what Rob is trying to get at?

Yes, I'm glad somebody gets me  :kink:

Don't forget Lenka :magic:
Lenka WAS the obvious winner that month  Ricki, Jessica and Zoe are more pop/dance anyway, a genre which always seems to hoover up the points in this contest, I don't think the likes of Lenka and Washington count :P
I really don't remember Lenka being considered an obvious winner :o
It's rare to ever think you have an obvious winner. Quicksand was hellaciously obvious as a winner the month it won but I still thought it'd get top three at best. Ditto Eric Saade. Loreen's my only winner where I knew from the second the semis went up that I had it in the bag.
I gave up Eric Saade and Kopecka won...I sorta give up Washington as well...hopefully you won't win this time Tyron :P
Failing Australians, it tends to be Scandipop solo females, and I don't see many of those around except... :kink:

Yay

I believe Washington is Australian...

She sure is :D Looks good for you then perhaps!

Hmm, perhaps - everything's clearer with hindsight after all! I'm surprised that I never considered Sheelah's The Last Time as an obvious winner considering the mammoth margin that it won by. The only winner of mine that I was completely convinced would win it (even before seeing the competition it was up against!) was Robots In Love - even so, Livvi Franc ran it surprisingly close! I suspected that both Sheelah songs, Chart Music and Sara Bareilles were all in with a decent shot. Uh Huh Her and Lykke Li caught me completely off guard though.

Lykke Li caught me off guard as well - I was convinced You'll Never Love Me would win it that month!

I know this is positively ancient but i still remember when Beverly Knight won BJSC VI after getting odds of around 100/1. That made me especially happy because i gave that 12 points

Not that this is relevant at all of course...

Lykke Li caught me off guard as well - I was convinced You'll Never Love Me would win it that month!

So did I!

Announcing myself as the winner for the second month in a row was a bit of a bizarre anti-climax, I genuinely thought it would come lower top ten as I wasn't sure whether anyone would appreciate it as much as I do. I know it's not an album standout for most people but it is for me (I do enjoy a good heart wrenching vocals and a strong melody!) so I was glad when she picked it as a single later on :D I also thought that You'll Never Love Me and Sadness Is A Blessing would tread on each others toes quite a bit so was most surprised when they ended up as the top two!
