I would say this problem with the promotion is more their doing than the managment. They chose this management. When they were with Jayne, they were EVERYWHERE. She got them the Comic Relief gig, which was great promotion for them. When 'Wordshaker' flopped, they didn't go running into hiding, she got them back out there with another single, chucked Vanessa and Frankie on reality shows to remind people of them. The quality of their songs aren't to blame, it's them wanting to do as little work as necessary. It's so frustrating because they could be really successful and I want them to be, but they never seem to put their all into it.

I'd tend to disagree.

If Fascination management are that bad, then why are they trying to make a push for The Saturdays stateside? Why are they continuing to support The Saturdays even though their last few records haven't sold much? And if Jayne was so great, then why did 'she' pull the plug on the plans for the 'Wordshaker' Arena Tour?...

I don't agree that they do as little as possible either. If they did as little as possible, then Una wouldn't be filming a video 3wks before her baby's due. If they lacked so much commitment to the band then they wouldn't be pitching their ideas to the US as a further step forward as a group.

Their work ethic and commitment is there, the public just don't get them to the full extent because ask yourself this "who are The Saturdays?". One minute they're sexy, next they're all Disney and then they're glamorous. Their image and sound changes 10x faster than the rate it should do.

Personally, I think they've given us such a diverse range of good music, which not every artist or group dares to try. If you're not a die hard fan then you're going to have major trouble adjusting to the constant change of sound which is a clear example of what happened to 'My Heart Takes Over'. It ticked all the right boxes and everything was done as it should have been done, but when you go from a massive club raver ('All Fired Up') to a ballad (which The Sats don't release as often as their uptempo numbers), it's almost like they're stepping into unknown territory. Their casual fans like uptempo. Had they not have had all the exposure (the ITV2 documentary mainly) around the 'Missing You' single, that campaign would have gone the same as 'My Heart Takes Over'.

They need tons of promo for this single. Not just literally one Daybreak performance with one member down like with My Heart Takes Over. They need to go mad to secure this hit they need badly. I'm nervous though. Really excited, but really nervous about how it's going to go. Other than that, bring it on. :D

What they'd REALLY benefit from, is one of those ITV "a night in with The Saturdays" type shows on a Sunday evening or something.

^ I'd love that!

I hope we get some concrete info soon for the single. We must be hearing it soon?

that would be soooooooooooooooo fetch.

I would totally demand LIVE performances of 'Missing You' 'All Fired Up' 'Up' 'Ego' ' Higher' and the new song. Plus for the fans, a special performance of 'Do What You Want With Me' or 'Last Call'.

Then I would watch it everyday and be ever so happy :D

I seriously do not understand everyone looning over DWYWWM, it is one of my least favourite songs by The Sats

i think its brillo. and just showcases how freekin amaze rochelle is!!

The 'think I've found my pure delight' makes me cringe everytime DWYWWM comes on :(
'Do What You Want With Me' is still as incredible to me as the first time I heard it. Something along the lines of that would be seriously amazing, for me.
the BBC will be announcing the eurovision act by the end of the day, so if they are headed to Azerbaijan, we will know within the next 6 hours!!
It's been very quiet. Guessing there's been no more news on this single!

i'd say it will launch the week Una gives birth, the other 4 girls go to radio and play it, and a few vid teasers, then a week later release the video in full, that way they can cash in a bit on the coverage Una will get in the media. Then say 3/4 weeks from the premier they can release and Una will be able to do TV spots etc. as she will of recovered a bit.

That would probably be their best way of going about it

This is The Saturdays, since when have they gone about the best way of releasing a song? :P

Steve Mac : "Do you ladies happen to have a new single coming out soon?"

Rochelle : "We do, heard the producer is quite cool, ha"

So I guess its not a Xenomania single :(

I pray that for once they can handle a lead single the right way. So far, it doesn't sound like it'll be a dance track (thankfully) so hopefully it'll be Pop with a big chorus. I'd love something along the lines of Kelly Clarkson - Stronger!

I am happy that they have choosen not to realease a dance track, no doubt it will be single two though as they will think that it could do them good because of All Fired Up.

Can you guide us through how a typical song is written? Like one your latest ones like “Notorious” which you did for The Saturdays?

Ina: Notorious… I have mixed feeling about that song. I love the idea, and the track, but the original idea came from “becoming a werewolf” (closer, baby look in my eyes- do you recognize me) I wanted it to be more haunting than pop. I wrote it with Nicole Scherzinger in mind. The Sats did a great job though. I just wish the video director had been more edgy! but some songs work, and some don’t. This is just how it is.
