 4. Levels (Radio Edit) - Avicii

 5. Down for Whatever - Kelly Rowland

:D Now let's just hope Avicii ends up ahead of that vile 'song' officially this week. (Original version is #30 and the EP is still #21 on iTunes albums).

150. Nelly Furtado - Maneater

Why is this up? 59p?

RiRi 19% ahead of Olly. She's probably peaking now.

I think she will still be no.2 on Friday's update.

I hope she has pulled back another 2000 today.

Saw a webchat with Olly saying he expects to be pipped to the post but he seemed quite upbeat about it really, he only expected DWMT to go top 5. I think he's delighted with the sales, rightly so.

This x 100. Avicii's song is great. Kelly Rowland's is appalling. Let's just say, Down For Whatever is NEVER going to be sampled, and for VERY GOOD REASON!

I'm not sure why. I assume so though. Nice to see it back. That song seems a bit generic now, but I loved it so much when it was released.

Good that Talk That Talk is still climbing, even though the rest of the album songs are already falling. Talk That Talk could've been even higher though, except they didn't play it on the chart update because apparently they didn't have time to censor it all (Jay-Z's rap). :drama: I hope they make an edit by Sunday at least, or else it will be a repeat of what happened when that Lil Wayne song got top 40. :drama: I've heard Talk That Talk on Radio 1Xtra, so they should have something...

I've been playing Loose a bit lately and Maneater is still my favourite from it.

I agree. It's a fantastic album. I even like the foreign language tracks. I wish she'd come back. She used to be one of the biggest female pop stars in the world a couple of years ago, and then she just disappeared and everybody has probably forgotten about her now. :(

My favourites are Promiscuous and Say It Right. I love Do It aswell (it's basically a Buzzjack-friendly version of Ayo Technology, except that it steals from a different computer game's soundtrack ).

Where is Nelly Furtado anyways? She was HUGE when she released stuff...

She's releasing an album next year I believe. 'Loose' was amazing!

Marry The Night back to #11. 5% behind Rebecca Ferguson at #10

Nelly Furtado is taking her time with the follow-up, that can only mean flop sadly :(
MLJ top version  to #15 and the Now! version is also starting to fall a bit ( #31) :cheer:

This tbh.

Also musically, whether she does urban music, or her I'm Like a Bird/Broken Strings-type music, she'll flop aswell. Those sounds aren't popular at the moment. Although they might be in a couple of years, since I think the recent surge of popularity in piano ballads will inevitably lead to urban music and that "folksy" music making a comeback. So maybe it's good that she's waiting.

It's such a waste though, when she was one of the biggest females in music at the time to just stop like that. It's like Katy Perry announcing she's not going to release her next album until 2017. :drama:

Well, it's better to wait than hear another dance album, produced by David Guetta... I love dance and house music, but there's too much artists in pop going dance now (I don't count artists like LMFAO, they did that kind of music years before).

Xmas top 300 update:

72. All I Want for Christmas Is You (Original Version) - Mariah Carey

100. Fairytale of New York - The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl

113. Fairytale of New York - Kirsty MacColl & The Pogues

133. Merry Christmas Everyone - Shakin' Stevens

164. I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday - Wizzard

211. Do They Know It's Christmas? - Band Aid

212. Last Christmas (Single Version) - Wham!

213. Merry Christmas Everybody - Slade

215. Mistletoe - Justin Bieber

234. It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas - Michael Bublé

265. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - Michael Bublé

296. Snowflake - Kate Bush

Top version of Fairytale Of New York now top 100 :cheer:

On the equivalent of the coming chart week last year:

48 Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You

51 The Pogues feat. Kirsty MacColl - Fairytale Of New York

97 Wizzard - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday

I really hope The Pogues pick up some more ASAP or they'll end up missing the top 20 this Xmas :(

Thanks for the comparison - maybe the 2 week full build up to xmas will mean they still peak high enough - chart the week after xmas goes right up to the sat night and not the friday like last year!

Are sales of rihanna up much from last week - they better be or top 2 sales will be poor this week - WFL only did 68k last week!
