Is Emeli Sande released next week? Think she might have a chance at finally snatching number one from Rihanna? 'Daddy' is an incredible song.

She might get an x factor slot soon, no?

Highly unlikely as The X Factor Finalists 2011 featuring JLS & One Direction 'Wishing On A Star' is released and isn't getting its premiere until Sunday night when the track will be released. It'll fly to no. 1 next week regardless of how great grate it is. Might only last a week at no. 1 but I'm sure it'll get there comfortably next week.

She's already been on Xtra Factor, no chance she'll be on the main show as well. Daddy is a great song but it won't perform better than Heaven. Definately X Factor number 1, wouldn't surprise me if DWMT overtakes Rihanna to get number 2 after his X Factor performance, I don't know what else is out though.

Olly Murs and Kelly Rowland both releasing their new albums next week - so 'Heart Skips a Beat' will no doubt be a high climber in the charts - not sure about Rowland though, 'Commander' peaked at #9 but didn't do great in the long run.

Emeli Sande and the X-Factor Finalists seem to be the only 'big' releases - Jason Derulo releases 'Fight For You' though, but at 59p I don't see it jumping into the T40 - likewise with Jay-Z & Kanye's 'Why I Love You So' - it's not even cracked the T200 on iTunes yet, so a single release won't do it any good; a video would be nice though.

I reckon X-Factor Finalists will bag the #1 spot - especially with JLS and One Direction featuring on the track. Emeli Sande will debut in the top 10 - I think that's a certainty; especially as I felt 'Heaven' debuting at #2 was completely out of the blue.

Heaven did get MASSES of promotion before it was released though. I was hearing it everywhere, Capital, Radio 1, pretty much every urban station, even Heart, before it was released.

Her new song, I feel I've heard less of, but I also think it'll be sure to debut in the top 10 anyway, since she's made so much more of a name for herself now.

I'm not sure if Jay-Z and Kanye will release a video for that song. It's a UK only single I think (the US are getting Niggas in Paris), so they probably don't think it's worth making a video just for one small country. I agree though, I'd like a video too, even though I'd probably just watch it once and then completely forget about it, like I do with nearly all other music videos.

About Kelly Rowland, from her album, I'm somehow hoping Lay It On Me can debut in the top 40, because I'm absolutely in love with that song at the moment, and some radio stations have been playing it loads, and it has a music video, so it is possible I guess. And it's the most UK-friendly type of RnB song aswell.

X-Factor single will 100% be #1, Probably be the biggest selling single this year.

What, more than SLY which will be 1.2m+ come year end?

X-Factor single will 100% be #1, Probably be the biggest selling single this year.

I'm not saying number 1 is out of the question next week as it is very much a contender, but there's no way it'll be the biggest seller of the year

X-Factor single will 100% be #1, Probably be the biggest selling single this year.

its very unlikely it will even be in the top 10 best sellers due to its immense front-loadedness (not a word I know), I have to  at JLS and One Direction being included, basically Simon telling the contestants 'you're not good enough to sell this on your own'!

I think they meant biggest first week seller!
Rebecca is falling hard and Coldplay will pass her and than maybe they can be top 10 and she can fall into 11 at least! 3 more days for this week!

The X Factor Finalists charity single has had rapidly diminishing returns each year thus far - 'Hero' opened on 312.2k, spent 3 weeks at #1 and came #2 on the year-end chart; 'You Are Not Alone' opened on 193.2k, spent 1 week at #1 and came #28 on the year-end chart; 'Heroes' opened on 144k, spent 2 weeks at #1* and came #60 on the year-end chart.

Based on that 'Wishing On A Star' won't come close to being the biggest first-week sales of the year as it's due a big dropoff from 144k and the current record holder for 2011 sold 154k. It will also probably be lucky to make the year end top 100. However, the JLS and One Direction features may throw a spanner in the works - we'll see I suppose.

*This was one more than YANA managed, I know, but YANA was only deposed after one week because of another, bigger charity single in the form of Peter Kay's Animated All Star Band's 'The Official BBC Children In Need Medley'. YANA still sold 82.9k in its second week (at #2), much more than Heroes' 70.6k in its second week (at #1).

Paradise  #9

Nothing's Real But Love  #10

Hope Marry The Night can overtake Rebecca, but i fear it will be overtaken before it does :drama:

To be honest, I can't see anything that I think will overtake MTN soon. Only maybe David Guetta, as he seems to be climbing for some reason.

EDIT: Oh, David Guetta has already overtaken it lol. I'm assuming it's 59p again.

Those are all very good points. However, 'WOAS' only really needs to sell 90-100k and I suspect that will be enough to be #1 but of course the inevitable plummet will happen the following week.

Rihanna's sales for 'WFL' dropped to 66k for last week so I'm interested in seeing what type of boost the song has gained with X Factor performance, album version and Now 80! versions all charting - then there's the remixes. I doubt 'WFL' will have had such a massive boost getting up to 100k again this week. We'll know for sure on Sunday evening.

It's just a bit disappointing to think next week we could have the official UK's biggest non #1 of 2011. The type of song that in hindsight (ie; in 12 months time looking back) will look so out of place and will prove why it didn't deserve to be #1. Therefore I'm hoping there will be a nice big shock - something along the lines of Rihanna #1 for 7 weeks (assuming she does get there this Sunday).

I do think it'll be #1 - I just think it has no chance at all of selling quicker than 'What Makes You Beautiful'. I think it'll get either the fifth or sixth biggest first week sales of the year so far (that's a pretty big range there - from 118 to 140k) but definitely won't beat Louder, Grenade, Read All About It and What Makes You Beautiful IMO.

-x-

Ooh, looks like Guetta will be back in the top 10 imminently - he could challenge M5's top 10 position on Sunday :D Although they could probably hold on by overtaking Rebecca -_-

I don't mind if X Factor Finalists get #1 next week. We Found Love doesn't deserve 8 weeks at #1 or whatever it'll be on by then imo, and I think most people agree.

I'd obviously prefer something else though. Like Flo Rida or Avicii (or lol Drake) to climb to #1, or Emeli Sande to somehow defy all odds.

Are JLS and One Direction credited separately on the new XF charity single? If so, talk about #1 desperation.
