Has a video for 'Starships' even been filmed? I'm starting to think we're not getting one...

She tweeted earlier in the week saying that it'd be released 'this week' but no news so far.

It has definitely been filmed though, a few photos from the shoot have been released.

She filmed in Hawaii, must be about two months since now I think about it... Really don't see why we have such a massive delay :drama:

I think she tweeted earlier today that we can see it next week but I might be wrong.

 

She's doing a signing next Thursday in London but you need to enter a draw on HMV to win one of 250 wristbands.

This album burns out so fast, I'm already down to 7 songs I'm bothered about going back to. Definitely isn't going to have the staying power of Pink Friday which still sounds hella fresh 18 months on.

 

She's going to be on The Graham Norton Show next Friday! :D I assume performing mainly with some chat, but I'd love it if she were on for the whole show. I'm not holding my breath for a great performance, but it's nice to see her promoting in the UK anyway.

She said today on Twitter that the Starships video will be out on Monday or Tuesday.

Also, she's confirmed to be appearing on The Graham Norton Show next Friday!

Someone on Twitter just requested that 'Whip It' get single treatment before 'Pound the Alarm' and she replied "Whip It 1st!!!". Sounds to me like she's got the single release all sorted out in her head - having already claimed she's got 7/8 music videos planned (and we've only had 'Beez in the Trap' and 'Stupid Hoe' thus far). Really excited to see her plans with this album, but I wish she'd just release the 'Starships' video before promoting 'Right By My Side' - and that she learns from Rihanna's mistake and focuses on each release rather than rushing them.

Woo, so pleased she's doing some promo here in the UK! Very excited for her interview/performance and of course to FINALLY see the video for 'Starships' too, god knows it's been a long time coming.

 

I agree that I hope she doesn't take the Rihanna approach to things and focuses on each release properly and takes her time.

Starships still sounds so fresh to me :wub: I think if she does release the video on Monday/Tuesday and performs on Friday, then we could have a chance at #1 - Maybe even a price drop to secure it.

I like 'Whip It', but it's the song on the album, that's losing it's quality the fastest, for me. :( I prefer 'Pound The Alarm' (obviously) and 'Automatic'. I hope the videos she's planned for are;

She's already filmed the 'Va Va Voom' video, it was originally planned as single #1!

Nicki has deleted her Twitter account because NickiDaily.com leaked some of her new tracks. NickiDaily has also closed down.

I expect she'll be back soon enough. I don't even see why she's bothered though - albums & songs always seem to get leaked these days, sure it might not be great but it happens with the internet.

She has not done herself any favours calling them and any fans that listened to leak 'mean' and 'ratchet', these are her biggest fans and she is insulting them. Thats why she deleted her Twitter, because some of her fans were complaining to her about her comments. Never before have I seen a fanbase force the artist to delete their Twitter. She has not come off looking very good out of the tantrum though :lol:

It wasn't new leaked songs, it was the album sampler from ages ago. Apparently she was pissed that her fansite Nicki Daily posted a link to the album sampler before it was due. I don't understand her problem, her album is out now and is selling very well and the album sampler probably persuaded more people to buy. The fact she has then insulted her fanbase for it, I don't think is very respectable at all, especially since she tried to get her fans to send abuse to the fansite, and it backfired, and instead many of her fans were turning on her. BREAKDOWN.

I agree fully with this. At least the majority of the fans are not twats. Had this been One Direction it would have been WW3.

She's made herself look stupid by insulting her own fans, no doubt she wants those extra album sales though.

Oh dear Nicki, that's not cool at all :(. She probably regrets it and feels embarrased more than anything now though hence the deletion.
