March 19, 201213 yr I actually really like 'blue jeans'. Encase anybody doesn't realise how amazing this it, I AM NOW A LANA DEL REY FAN. Its probably because of Bastille covering it.
March 24, 201213 yr Same. I don't theres been another recent performance as BAD as that was. I just watched her 'Video Games' performance on American Idol though and it was alright.
March 25, 201213 yr Dark Paradise has grown on me so much recently! I really really love the 'oh, oh, oh, ah ah ah aahhh's towards the end! (You know what I mean )
March 25, 201213 yr Omg same! It was one of my 'lowlights' at first but recently it's probably my 2nd favourite behind Blue Jeans
March 26, 201213 yr DP, Just can't get into it and I've tried and tried, loving something uptempo next like national anthem
March 28, 201213 yr My favourite album of the year so far. 'National Anthem', 'Dark Paradise', 'Off To The Races', 'Radio', 'Summertime Sadness' - all divine!
March 28, 201213 yr The one that sneaked up on me was Off To The Races... initially I dismissed it as a bit of filler, a bit limp, too poppy by half..... but, again, lyrically, she turns a seemingly simple song into something amazing..... from a definite lowlight to one of my album favourites.
April 3, 201213 yr Well considering it was a B-side to the lead single I would say so. But 'Blue Jeans' is by far and away the best thing she has ever done. 0aysUREHOo0 This sounds brilliant. Edited April 3, 201213 yr by Ryan
April 4, 201213 yr I not feeling that, her own stuff is so much slicker, glad this is just for his mixtape
April 4, 201213 yr So, I really don't like her. But I've grown to LOVE Blue Jeans. Its even going to make a SECOND week in my personal chart, possibly top 10.
April 4, 201213 yr Author Strange album. So slick and well produced but so lacking in personality. Lyrically it's nowhere near as epic as it seems to think it is. Ultimately a little unsatisfying. Still there's a lot of solid 7/10 tracks on there and I love Summertime Sadness, Dark Paradise & Radio.
April 4, 201213 yr Ok, I can agree with almost everything in that post? But lacking in personality?? Umm, no dear.
April 4, 201213 yr She is a one trick pony to be fair. The worse line of her entire album is 'I think you da bestest, lean in for a big kiss'. I tried so hard to like her and the album but ultimately, only blue jeans impressed me.
April 4, 201213 yr Author Ok, I can agree with almost everything in that post? But lacking in personality?? Umm, no dear. Sorry but I think it is, 'dear'. The fact that she sings repeatedly about a small number of themes doesn't mean she has a personality. Everything about the album seems to have been tailored to fit with her tragic American starlet image but if you listen to the lyrics she doesn't have anything original or even very interesting to say. The entire package is a masterclass in marketing but I couldn't tell you who 'Lana Del Rey' IS after listening to this record.
