Mariah now only 3% behind Jessie so she'll probably be top 10 any second :(

Let's try and look at the positive though - Jessie will be out of the top 10 any second :D

924. Young, Wild And Free (Tribute to Snoop Dogg feat. Wiz Khalifa & Bruno Mars) Performed By Cover Nation - Cover Nation

Yikes! :o I thought this would flop here, but maybe not! It's really not the sort of song that would do well in the UK. Bruno Mars has a lot of fans here though, so that's probably helping.

It's release date was this week on the release schedule though. I assume they've postponed it.

I think Marry the Night should at least be getting plays on MTV from all the channels that play the top 40 out (which is a lot I think, some even do it daily). But yeah, we might see it climb in January.

Paradise  #4

Lloyd seems to fall back in the evenings as far as I can tell, he'll probably be back ahead tomorrow.

Just over 1% between Mariah and Jessie!

Does Mariah (or The Pogues) actually usually manage to get top 10 on iTunes at all, or is it just combined versions that put it higher up officially?

Coldplay just sang Paradise :o instead of Charlie Brown on Graham Norton show.

Great performance. Hopefully the track climbs further now.

Brilliant news. Hopefully it'll climb to the top 3 now then :D Also a good sign that they'll do Paradise on XF as well, I think this has a good chance of being #2 next week.

SO MUCH RAGE. Flo Rida, you'd better re-appear straight into the top 10 and get Mariah back out, we can't be having both of these top 10  It was all going so well :drama:

(T-Pain obviously still #1, Lloyd #4, Avicii #5, Rihanna #6, Ed #7 and Drake #8).

Paradise's bar is currently 77.5% of T-Pain up from like 60% before Graham Norton, it would be FANTASTIC if it could get to #1 tomorrow.

I realise this is a triple post. Sorry about that~

Most music channels play some sort of chart countdown but you're right in that it's only the MTV ones which are official.

I'm not really sure how it works, but I have a channel called VIVA (or something like that), which played the whole top 40 every afternoon, and it's the official top 40. Or is that a proper MTV channel? But that channel will be playing MTN at least once a day.

That's annoying about Flo Rida. Especially since he's an outside #1 contender this week. Last time a song of his got deleted it was Right Round on US iTunes and it let Poker Face slip in a week at #1. Tragic. :puke:

I had a feeling you'd compare this to Right Round's situation in the USA :P

This won't affect the #1 but I'm annoyed that it's just let Mariah into the top 10 'the easy way'. It's almost as if iTunes are TRYING to get it to be higher then FONY at Christmas this year, with the whole 59p thing as well :drama: Conspiracy.

(Nah, not really. It's just annoying.)

3 EXACTLY MONTHS since Paradise first release and never left the top 20 and now it's 2!!! who would have thought???

If the first 10 weeks were counted (stupid UK chart) this could get easily to 500K! but now maybe a 300K...

Paradise did leave the top 20 for a while but AFAIA it's never left the top 25. And only its first six weeks were excluded, not 10 :P

Those first six weeks may not count for the YTD chart but as we know the exact total for them (118,547) we can easily just add them on to find its real total.

We need a Flo Rida remix of Fairytale of New York. iTunes will probably shut down then.

This isn't a Christmas song, surely? But I'm glad to see it's on iTunes at last. The last time I checked, there was only the German language version of it.

Itunes sales obviously play the biggest part but does anyone know how much of a part Amazon download sales play in overall singles sales? Trying to understand what sort of percentage share Itunes has of downloads as well.

Might be wrong but for singles iTunes has about 80%? Around that I think.
