Personally although it is not the song i would pick for little mix to do, they have done a damn good job of it. It showcases their voices and has a nice xmas-y feel to it. I think people are seriously underestimating this. It will have huge sales this week and maybe even match the numbers next week as the hype around xmas number 1 will boost sales and the cd will be out for a full week.

I'm going out on a limb and say this will be 2nd only to the burke in total sales for an x factor winners song.

Really?

Stones taught me to fly

Love, it taught me to lie

Life, it taught me to die

So it's not hard to fall

When you float like a cannonball

Its almost traditional after Many of Horror and Hallelujah that the X Factor attempt at XMas #1 will have wildly innappropriate lyrics for the festive period.

"Charlie Brown" not being helped by the fact that it's down as "Glowing In The Dark" on the X Factor website.
It's now 16:00, and Paradise is 0.3455, Hurt is 0.1872, DWMT is at 0.1385 (Cannonball at 1.0000 ofc :P) Great to see them have a massive lead, it's gotta sell at least 350k, with Coldplay doing more than WMN did last year, possibly 120k?

Why?

I do not see Olly selling more than 40k for any reason. That would mean Coldplay are in the course for ~100k (if the are not frontloaded because of the big XF performance) and Lil-Mix are in the course of ~280k-300k because of (a) the physicals (b) it should be frontloaded and loose some ground after thursday.

They have a huge lead over the last week contenders which were selling really week for a top5...

Nope 48%, the remaining percentages were from amelia lily's votes before the freeze.

Ah, that's make sense I suppose. 10% of the overall final vote seems quite low for Amelia, or is that just me?

So my point of it possibly doing better if it was titled 'Glowing In The Dark' could be right :P

That's just stupid though, Glowing In The Dark isn't even a subtitle, at least When We Collide was somewhat understandable...

I do think it'll do Coldplay a world of good if they release CB as 'Charlie Brown (Glowing In The Dark)'.

I'm not worried about Superbad not doing as well as hoped. Hello by Martin Solveig didn't make the top 75 in its first week of official release. After the Christmas songs file out and there's a lack of new releases, I can see it climbing into the top 40, even top 20 if it's lucky.

I guess you're right, 350k is a bit optimistic for Little Mix, sad because Matt Cardle sold 440k last year - but I guess LM will sell more of their 2nd single than Matt  And I don't want Coldplay to sell 120k (that's the highest possible it could sell, it probably won't however given how bad sales were last week), I would prefer it sell 90k, or anything below What's My Name's X Factor effect sales :)

I hope so. Flux Pavilion is on the Sound of 2012 poll which could help him (although I doubt he'll finish top 5).

I can't see Superbad being the new "Hello", it's really uncommercial whereas "Hello" was the type of Euro-club banger that would sell in the UK

She got 26.5% of the vote on Saturday, the 10% is of all the votes cast over the entire weekend.

EDIT: It was actually 8.9%. if I've added that up right it means that almost two thirds of the entire weekend's votes were cast on Sunday night.

FFS, why does 'Who You Are' keep getting deleted, it was beginning to hold on steady and now it'll climb far too slowly into the Top 40 again. Eugh.
