December 11, 201113 yr This tbh. Thinking of voting for LM tonight even though I don't really rate them. Ain't No Other Man >>> You Got The Love. You WANT a flop male winner? Yes I do want another flop male winner. The voting public keep missing the point that they are not watching Big Brother but the oppurtunity for someone with talent to build a career. If they keep wasting their money on males they think are fit maybe it will sink in that talent should be the only qualification for the winner.
December 11, 201113 yr Ain't No Other Man >>> You Got The Love. It was easily the other way around for me. :o 'Ain't No Other Man' just seemed so lifeless. Right down to how the performance finished, I was left thinking "is that it?". It certainly had no "WOW" factor about it. 'You Got The Love' was alright - definitely not in the same league as 'Don't Let Go' but passable. Marcus has been below par in the last 3 weeks. Whether he's saving all his energy for tonight and ends up being outstanding tonight to seal his fate. I still only see him having one UK #1 single. Post Xmas, I really don't know if SyCo will do anything for him. I still think if SyCo handle Little Mix in the same way Girls Aloud were in the early days, they could generate some decent longevity. The main problem is X Factor winners having to wait 12 months to release single #2. Look at Girls Aloud - they were already on single #4 almost one year after winning Popstars - The Rivals. Then they started releasing more interesting music from their second album onwards. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Unless you're Syco. If it ain't broke, get a hammer!!! :(
December 11, 201113 yr Little Mix were the best last night BY FAR. Marcus has totally lost it for me - dull dull dull.
December 11, 201113 yr Are Little Mix definitely singing "Don't Let go" tonight then? If they rock it again it could sway it for them.
December 11, 201113 yr The final last night apparently got a shocking 10.9 million viewer on average with a peak of 12.1 million, which is just terrible, considering last years final got a peak of 19 million. I predict viewing will be up a bit more tonight but still VERY poor. That's because (apart from Leona) the other guest acts were really poor. One Direction - JLS - Michael Buble absolute rubbish.
December 11, 201113 yr Little Mix have got to win this dont really think Marcus will have a decent career afterwards hes just a tad generic
December 11, 201113 yr Winners single officially confirmed as Cannonball... http://xfactor.itv.com/2011/news/story/rea...item_100291.htm :( Marcus has won then, it suits him SO much more!
December 11, 201113 yr Ugh, another year and another predictable cover as the winner's single. At the very least can we hope for mildly interesting production on it for Little Mix? GA almost made the same mistake releasing a fairly basic retread of Stay Another Day in place of Sound of the Underground but thankfully it was shunted to the b-side. What a shame that there wasn't an original song available for each artist :( And I LIKE Cannonball!
December 11, 201113 yr Yawn. So predictable, I was still holding onto hope that it was just a rumour. I agree that it suits Marcus more, but does the performance of the winners single make much difference? By this stage a vast majority will have picked favourites, and a lot of votes have already been cast if they've been carried over for last night. It could make a difference if it's really tight though, like some people are thinking it will be.
December 11, 201113 yr It doesn't suit either of them but then perhaps it will be given a complete makeover if Fazer really is producing. Still begs the question why they can't produce a half-decent original winner's song? Syco have Labrinth on contract and work closely with Emeli Sandé too - you've got a shit hot songwriter and producer right there!

I know, pretty sure they could even ask people who aren't on their label like Jessie J to write and they'd be more than happy to do it. It just reeks of laziness and trying to play into a safe option of wanting it to do well. It's really not that hard.
December 11, 201113 yr X Factor spoiler: songs for tonight. Little Mix will sing Silent Night, Don't Let Go & the winners single Cannonball. #xfactor X Factor spoiler: songs for tonight. Marcus collins will sing Last Christmas Higher & Higher & the winners single Cannonball.
December 11, 201113 yr Hmm seeing as they are singing favourite performances I think Little Mix may steal it. Wrong choice for Marcus entirely on both counts... It doesn't suit either of them but then perhaps it will be given a complete makeover if Fazer really is producing. Still begs the question why they can't produce a half-decent original winner's song? Syco have Labrinth on contract and work closely with Emeli Sandé too - you've got a shit hot songwriter and producer right there! Ugh I know, that just makes me more annoyed - I mean imagine those two working on a song for Little Mix? It'd be amazing! I believe Marcus would really suit a current sounding song penned by Emeli and produced by Labirinth too! I'm not sure Cannonball will work if it's given an overhaul by Fazer though...
December 11, 201113 yr Author Looks like the choices are mirroring the 2008 series' for the final. Hopefully the act who sung those songs in that series also works wonders for Little Mix - 'Silent Night' was an absolute MOMENT for Alexandra, whilst 'Last Christmas' was one of the cringiest moments for JLS.
December 11, 201113 yr I think both of those Christmas song choices could become moments but then I said that about Hey Ya and it wasn't even close.
December 11, 201113 yr That would be car crash television them doing ANYTHING acapella. They're not Josh Krajcic. I think both of those Christmas song choices could become moments but then I said that about Hey Ya and it wasn't even close. Hey Ya was indeed a moment. It was just a bit Eurovision. Agree given the song choices LM probably have this sewn up.
December 11, 201113 yr I can't wait to hear Little Mix take on that Xmas song, should be great. The winners single is DIRE, can't see it working for either of them.
December 11, 201113 yr Praying for a Marcus victory. Just actually found out the original odds I got for him were 25/1. :D :D :D
