December 6, 201114 yr Ouch One D and Gotta be you already out of the top 40 :o 1D's album out of Top 40?? :???: :???: :???::blink:
December 6, 201114 yr 1D's album out of Top 40?? :???: :???: :???::blink: No Gotta Be You is the second single and it has left the Top 40. Up All Night the album is at #8, and the first single is still Top 40! Amazing sales for Rebecca! I like Martin thought it would get swallowed up in the Christmas rush but she's doing amazingly, aided by the stellar reviews no doubt, because the Amazon mp3 deal is for Amy so doing really well!
December 6, 201114 yr Hello - could I get the album chart placing this week for Will Young and Kate Bush thank-you-please. I feel really sorry for Matt Cardle - poor guy - he is having a harsh time - I mean the album seems no worse than many others and the new single I thought was quite nice...
December 6, 201114 yr Author And I've only just realised after reading that damn mid report again XFF are just 1,800 ahead of Olly, down 20% on the last seven days compared to 64%, so Olly has a chance of catching up. Just pinned it among all the album info.

Think 1D are still doing very well. Album still in the top 10 and their biggest single still in the top 40. Their people will be happy with that. Matt Cardle released a single this week. Anybody know how he's doing please?

Will Young #29 Rebecca has sold far better than I thought she would. Good luck to her not my taste in music but she can definitely sing and comes across as a really warm genuine person. December 6, 201114 yr Not top 40. That's all we know. All that was released was remixes, a 'single' version of the song never came out on Itunes or Amazon, if you wanted it you could just continue to download the album version, the Starlight 'single' bundle doesn't actually include 'Starlight' at all  http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0067SZ...722&sr=1-20 So with all that in mind I'm not surprised it's not anywhere near the Top 40 or probably the Top 100!

December 6, 201114 yr Author For me I love to see Olly get to #1 this week, the Lloyd track can easily hang around in the top 10 for some time yet, and could easily end up as the first #1 of 2012 when sales crash after Xmas, probably just wishing thinking but I can dream. There isn't anything else new apart from the obvious track that is getting released next week, and the first couple of weeks in Jan 2012 is looking very thin. I'm beginning to like the Lloyd track its a bit different to what that is in the top 10 at the moment its shiny and new.
December 6, 201114 yr Fingers crossed! Rebecca at 3 with about 45k already, it's fine with me. Olly had sold 50k by the same time last week ! She has no chance on gaining on Buble I think as he will most probably increase his sales as we get closer and closer to Christmas. Olly better not overtake Rebecca though or I will be well pissed. I think it's important to remember that Rebecca has alot of preorders so I wouldn't be surprised if Olly pips her to 3. Not that it matters though as she might sell as much first week as Matt and Cher put together, it's all about the sales. No one cares if you're at 3 or 4, not much difference, the top 4 will all do 100k plus IMO.
December 6, 201114 yr Is this their first charting song in the UK? I looked on Wiki and I saw no UK listing. I'm sure Nemo at least must have charted, it had great play on music tv. They're charting on album chart BUT they have only one charting single to date, Wish I Had an Angel which reached #60 Their previous album "Dark Passion Play" reached #25 but must've sold a lot less than this new one which is why I think they're doing great.
December 6, 201114 yr DWMT is 40% more popular than XF atm. But with low overall sales it's gonna take longer to claw the lead back so it'll be a a close one. Do we know how far off the pace Lloyd is?
December 6, 201114 yr Take That will now struggle to stay top 20, I was secretly hoping a steady top 15 placement for them this week. With all the Joe McElderry talk here on the site I had thought he would increase this week or remain steady but he has suffered a huge decrease looking at this update. I'm surprised at Take That I must admit although it is a live album not a studio one so not disasterous for them. Re Joe I thought he may slip a bit on this update (though not quite as much) as to where the sales are counted he's still had no promotion and its such a competitive market right now. He started some yesterday but has had to cancel his tv appearance tonight due to Illness. I still think he will sell 100k or so of this before Christmas though. Which is fine. I am stunned at Rebecca's sales to be honest! I know she had a lot of preorders though as someone has already mentioned. I think its a little early to say how it will go overall though as the sales could easily drop significantly next week like her single. But well done to her. Not my thing but likeable enough girl. Still not good for Kelly Rowland with an XF Performance and all....
December 6, 201114 yr Jesus, when was the last time one days sales of 46,400 only got you to number 3 in the midweeks?
December 6, 201114 yr Adele's "21" looking good for 46 consecutive weeks in the Top 10! Does anyone know the last album to spend 46 consecutive weeks in the Top 10?
December 6, 201114 yr Love that Rebecca is doing well-the album is fantastic! Wish Matt was doing better but I'm happy both had such strong albums-both as I wanted them to be.
December 6, 201114 yr Rambling commentary time :D (Seems longer than usual, there's a request hidden in there somewhere though :kink: I'll bold it to make it stand out more). 1.8k is nothing, the #1 is still wide open - I really think any of 2-6 could potentially still get there by the end of the week. Even T-Pain might still challenge if he keeps climbing iTunes rapidly (currently #5), sales are going to be ridiculously low so the slow start won't affect it as much as usual. Fantastic to see Paradise in today's top 10, I really hope it can hang on for the week - T-Pain is bound to overtake but Paradise has now been reduced to 59p on iTunes which could see it rising again enough to stay in ahead of Avicii and maybe Kelly Rowland too (Avicii could also re-overtake Kelly Rowland himself so T-Pain could end up knocking out Kelly while both Coldplay and Avicii remain - that would be AMAZING but seems a little bit farfetched, Kelly will probably stay in there). Sway at #12, a very good showing for him - however, Still Speedin' is very average and relies far too much on the sample. I wish he could be having this success with 'Mercedes Benz' - I really liked that song but it missed the top 40 :( Brilliant to see The Pogues top 20, can I have their exact position please? Unfortunately Mariah is likely to overtake by Sunday as iTunes have had the NERVE to reduce what seems like all the Xmas songs EXCEPT Fairytale Of New York to 59p :( On the upside that means we should hopefully see a few more Christmas classics in the top 40 by the end of the week. Wizzard, Wham! and Slade are all top 40 on iTunes now and Band Aid have two versions top 100. Example at #25 :D That'd be an okay peak, his highest peaking post-album single. Good to see JLS showing up in the top 40 but the Christmas songs might push it back out by the weekend. I really hope their XF performance (assuming they'll do this) gets this into the top 10, it's too good to break their streak :( Looks like my prediction of #1 and 175-200k for Amy could turn out to be true. I did think people were underestimating it massively. Brilliant to see it happening anyway :D Hopefully 'Our Day Will Come' can get top 20 this week as well. Looks like Matt will end up being the least successful of the XF 2010 top 4 then... such a shame, 'Run For Your Life' must be one of the worst single choices ever, it seems to have completely killed his career before it even started (I suppose the same might have happened if he'd released something else though) :( Rebecca isn't awful but she's really nothing special, I guess her style of music is back in vogue at the moment though while Matt's style isn't which could be a big factor. And Rebecca is releasing her album closer to Christmas which is cheating :kink: Olly could just about get a second week over 100k then, but as I expected ICYDK isn't selling anywhere near as consistently as his debut did. Hopefully it'll register a sales increase in the next 2 weeks as Christmas gets closer. I expected The Black Keys' album to be a bit higher than low top 20, but I'm not at all bothered by it, I don't think I've ever even heard any of their songs  Pleased to see Bieber's album not re-entering very high. Hopefully it'll fall over the week (and Mistletoe). '21' and '+' both ~50% up on the week? They could both shift a good 90k this week then :o Adele could definitely get 2 more weeks over 100k at this rate! Maybe even back over 150k in Christmas week? Edited December 6, 201114 yr by Bré
