I'm late to the party, but BTS are incredible. How have I slept on them so long? Great to see they're enjoying some success in the US too.

I love that DNA move as well. The album is brilliant, MIC drop, Go Go and Pied Piper are my current favourites.

Didn't think I'd wake up to see this #16 on UK iTunes! Wow. Album at number one too, although I don't know if iTunes album sales are significant. Would be very nice to see them chart officially again. Seems BTS are really breaking out into the global market which is fantastic to see.

The re-watchability on that video is so great. The choreo is amazing and they have a lot of charisma. I went back and watched their other videos. Particularly liked Save Me and Blood.

I like how the Save Me vid is completely focused on the choreography. It's simple, but easily up there for me.

Yeah I keep saying "CL will do it" "definitely Blackpink", so I've learned to never get too ahead of myself with K-Pop :lol: I'm all for them paving the way though, I remember after Gangnam Style I thought that K-Pop would smash but I think that more harm than anything in the long run, still a bop but my friends now still look at K-Pop as a bit of a joke because they assume it's all like Gangnam Style :drama:

I'm really here for Kpop breaking through if just so I can see some of them live in concert without having to travel and spend a fortune. :lol:

 

It's good that DNA has had a few plays on UK radio though and it sounds like the reaction to it has been positive which can only be a good thing. The fact that they're getting onto both the singles and album charts without radio play can only help their case surely. Also, good to see BTS didn't drop completely off in week two... again that's only a positive sign. Baby steps though.

Has there been any note worthy K-pop release lately, I try and keep up but feel a bit meh about the majority I've heard. Outside of BTS & BlackPink I'm struggling to find any to add to my playlist. Disappointed with Super Junior's comeback. :(

Red Velvet did comeback and with such an amazing track. They release hit after hit IMO. I wish it was performing better on the music shows but this seems to be by far their most successful album so I’m not complaining. EXO will be back with another winter album next month
