December 18, 201113 yr I think that everyone who doesn't participate has either done BADLY in those contests (like Persephonia), doesn't really care about BJSC (which is shown in their constant failure to VOTE IN TIME. DON'T WANT TO NAME NAMES *cough* Persephonia) or is just a lazy bitch (Persephonia suits this category as well :D). :o
December 18, 201113 yr I'm just not interested and not because I am lazy...I always found BO boring but I understand why certain people like to participate. Thanks God there is no Best Of in Eurovision every decade :P Edited December 18, 201113 yr by Adn@n
December 18, 201113 yr I participated in The Rejects, not sure about TBO as I got my votes for all the contests I participated in and not the ones I didn't so... :\ Plus if there's literally 7-8 people voting in TBO/Rejects then the results would be a disaster :o

If you rank one contest each day, for instance, then it would take you a maximum of 10 minutes each time, to rank a top five in all contests. Unless there's a legimitate reason for it, I find non-voting disrespectful to the hosts, the contest in itself and every other participant who do find an interest in The Rejects and TBO.

IMO, those things that you listed should affect the regular contests where everyone is required to vote in semis and in finals even if you DNQ, while in this one you're not obligated and you have a choice for not participating :P EDIT: And I am still very much interested in this contest, regardless if I finish top 3 or bottom 3 during the whole year. December 18, 201113 yr EDIT: Can't finish it all, it seems you will have to do with only half of the contests votes :( Edited December 19, 201113 yr by Oricon
December 19, 201113 yr Where are the likes of Espen, Zechonia, Utopia and Flotovik (sp?) to ensure Amatorski 'Soldier' qualifies and comes last in The Rejects Final? :D I just voted. ;)
December 19, 201113 yr EDIT: Can't finish it all, it seems you will have to do with only half of the contests votes :( No worries! Anything is welcome :D
December 20, 201113 yr True, except it's fairly unrepresentative when only a third of normal participants take part - and often those with similar music tastes at that (the more indie songs always seem to do better for example). I love The Best Of but they do tend to throw up WTF results sometimes, like Get Far's The Radio finishing 2nd last year. Lovely song but it was lucky in that pretty much all of the people that voted for it in the original contest turned up exclusively and voted for it in the Best Of. It would be so great to get a turnout of 40 odd for TBO but half of the usual participants, often pop voters (hence why the generic fempop winners always fill up the bottom three ), don't bother with it. Unless you've missed loads of contests, participating in it doesn't even take that much time or effort so I'm not sure why it's not more popular! Get Far doing so well was amazing <3 one of my favourite discoveries from this contest. I shall be voting in this, hopefully Natalie or Little Dragon get through ^_^
December 20, 201113 yr BARELY managed to get 5 songs per contest to vote for. Passed on voting in XXXIV too. Seriously NOTHING there.
December 20, 201113 yr It's the lack of songs in the Rejects per contest... I had a lot of trouble with mine too :S
December 20, 201113 yr TBH, I'm glad I had no obligation to vote in 33 & 34 judging by people's reactions on here!
December 21, 201113 yr In all fairness, it's safe to say the best 28 tracks in BJSC XXXIV made the final 28. My top 2 "rejects" were easy enough to choose as I voted for them in the semi final stage. The other three were whittled down very easily.
December 21, 201113 yr I am almost done with my nominations; only have XXXIX and XL left. I didn't find it very difficult to vote in XXXIII or XXXIV tbh, I liked all five of my nominations in both of those contests. XXXVII and XXXVIII was hard, though; I could still have voted for a couple more songs in both of them :o Edited December 21, 201113 yr by Freeze
December 21, 201113 yr OK, I know I sounded quite positive to every contest so far, and up until now I've only had diffculties leaving songs out because I like them, but I am seriously considering to NOT VOTE in XXXIX. Every song I voted for in the semis qualified, and I don't think I can find three songs to nominate there :( Will try to listen to the songs some more before I make a decision..
