Pixie in the top 400 with no video! :D

The one she performed on the Lottery last night?

New Years Eve parties too. Its on heavy rotation in bars and clubs

Yes. That will promote it a lot too I think. On New Years especially, but I think every weekend in general.

I went in drove past a lot of clubs last night though. We Found Love was EVERYWHERE. It really is the new Don't Stop the Music! I can't actually believe how many times I heard it. You'd think they'd have other songs to play. :lol: I also heard a lot of Take Care and Party Rock Anthem. I heard a lot of songs from the late 90's too, I guess with the age of people clubbing now, those songs will be from their childhood.

I don't know which one she performed, but it's Kiss the Stars in the top 400. It's been gradually climbing over the past few days.

^^ Yeah that's it. I think she could have a moderate hit with it, if she promotes it a bit more than she did with her other singles.

There are entire 90's nights in cities these days. Its the height of dance in clubs with Cream and the like so the music never goes out of fashion. MTV dance is also filled with 90s stuff as well. It has a nostalgia factor for me as I grew up in the 90s too.

Yep, that's the one she performed. Just before the New Year fireworks as well which drew in 10 million viewers across the whole programme so she must have got a heck of a boost. BTW, I expect the remix used last night is bumping Earthquake and Viva La Vida

It seems you feel what I feel! :puke2:

Now that JLS' question has been answered, please can they now piss off?

I actually think it will go top 10 after all this week. It is nearly top 10 combined already (it will inevitably be top 10 combined sooner or later) and with a lot of physicals probably being sold, it'll probably reach between #7-#10. I hope it does an 'Untouchable' though - although that was actually a good song.

I actually see some similarities between the Jukebox and Echo eras. Both the main lead singles 'Happy' and 'Take A Chance On Me' were midweek #1s but ultimately underperformed and peaked at #2 before falling rapidly. Then the follow-up single ('I Got You' and DYFWIF) fails to go top 10 on iTunes but physical sales majorly boosts the single in release week (let's face it, it will happen to JLS :lol:). Plus both albums underperformed.

Pixie's not really promoted that much with her singles this year tbh, All About Tonight has done fantastic and should become her biggest selling hit. Young Foolish & Happy is actually doing good despite it's poor peak, she somehow manages to remain int he top 100 with her albums. The Lottery has no effect for singles being promoted which is quite weird actually. Kiss The Starts should have it's video out next week and should be released in Feburary and help the album over 150,000 sales. I am worrying Radio 1 don't playlist her though following the underperformance of the album and WDYTMF.

Very surprised to see Taio underperforming so far! I thought he would go top 10 for sure, although it can still happen ofcourse.
Radio 1 has always supported Pixie. I remember when Capital and Kiss didn't playlist "Turn it Up" and "Broken Arrow" but Radio 1 did. I'll be shocked if they don't playlist "Kiss the Stars".
I'm really not sure JLS'll get the top-10 this week to be honest. Yes, for now they are climbing but once the promo / fanbase effects die the song will fall again. And they have no iTunes top-10 effect on their side. I can see them doing a Leona's 'I Got You'.

54 Taio Cruz/ Troublemaker

102 Alesha Dixon/ Do It Our Way (Play)

122 Gotye ft Kimbra/ Somebody That I Used To Know

180 Skepta/ Hold On (Original Mix) and #299 (UK Radio Edit)

414 The Maccabees/ Pelican

Indeed, every pub I went in last night had 'Good Feeling' or 'Levels' on, along with LMFAO, Moves Like Jagger, We Found Love, Yeah 3X and all the other 'club bangers' from this year. So its no surprise to see them all getting a boost on iTunes now.

always does amaze me that there are still people who haven't bought huge selling songs like Moves Like Jagger though, its like they've missed the 6months of heavy airplay and being iTunes top 10 and only heard the song for the first time last night!

You what? It's fallen every week so far and its sales in comparison to "Turn It Up" are pathetic.

It's sold 75,00. It's fallen every week yes, but it's not bombing down the chart comapred to previous artists. Of course if we compare a lot of albums to Turn It Up sales it's pathetic because that sold 850,000 in the Uk. Had Young Foolish & Happy been released after All About Tonight it would most likely have had a better peak than #18. I still can't believe What Do You Take Me For flopped, most likely because it's not as POP as her other singles.

Selling less than a tenth of your previous album is poor for any act. If "Kiss The Stars" does well then I stand corrected but I don't see any way that "Young Foolish Happy" will even go platinum.

All acts usually do bad compared to their debut album. I guess we will have to wait until she finishes with Young Foolish & Happy to see how much it's underperformed I guess. I still think it will pass 300,000 if she releases a ballad after Kiss The Stars. Although it shouldn't help she's on Tinchy Stryder's new single which should help her a little bit. Do you like Kiss The Stars?

Do we reckon Alesha's gonna get another top 75 hit to her name :o

It just sounds like yet another "All About Tonight" / "Lightning" replica to me, nothing interesting about it whatsoever. And the law of diminishing returns is a weak argument given she'll be lucky to sell a third of her previous album. "Born This Way" has done a third of "The Fame" without a re-release and it's considered to have really underperformed.

Leona Lewis released from Echo;

02 Happy

14 I Got You

JLS released from Jukebox;

01 She Makes Me Wanna

02 Take a Chance on Me

41 Do You Feel What I Feel?

^ You've forgotten they already gained a #1 from this era, so a little different from Leona's situation. After the performance on Alan Carr last night, it'll likely shoot up into the top 15, hopefully missing the top 10 all together - the lyrics are appalling, their worst release yet in my opinion (even worse than 'The Club is Alive').

Is Gotye already falling?! I swear it was 117 just now, or am I imagining things?
