Posted December 22, 201113 yr Always wondered what members prefer, the reason I use 456654 is so I can use the keypad on the right and its much quicker. Its just to see what format to use in the future, to make things easier to read.
December 22, 201113 yr What do you mean? Like, have sales posted with a comma (123,000) or without (123000)?
December 22, 201113 yr Could you post them in binary, please? :P Edited December 22, 201113 yr by tonyttt31
December 22, 201113 yr I always post sales with a comma inbetween, it makes it easier to read. :D I think it's stupid using a fullstop because it makes it look like a decimal point
December 22, 201113 yr I prefer the figures to have commas, it's probably easier to read, or I'm just used to having commas in them.
December 22, 201113 yr I always post sales with a comma inbetween, it makes it easier to read. :D I think it's stupid using a fullstop because it makes it look like a decimal point not to everyone. I'm sure there are people who dont like commas because they think it looks like a decimal point divisor.
December 22, 201113 yr not to everyone. I'm sure there are people who dont like commas because they think it looks like a decimal point divisor. It's just my opinion. If people want to use fullstops, that's fine by me! :D
December 22, 201113 yr Could you post them in binary, please? :P That might explain the Amazon article where they claimed that Military Waves were outselling the #2 by 1000:1!' Also they have sold 1,011,111,001,101,110,000 copies by now. As for the question - the commas are obviously easier to ready but I could care less.
December 22, 201113 yr commas ftw! certainly for million sellers at least, they are very hard to read with no commas! Edited December 22, 201113 yr by Christmas.Walnut
December 22, 201113 yr Author It's just my opinion. If people want to use fullstops, that's fine by me! :D I used to use full stops in the past and than I changed to using commas, its only recently I've been typing as 456654, I just wanted to see what the overall members say on the subject so I just stick to one format only, I do prefer 456,654 as its easier to read.
December 22, 201113 yr I don't think it really matters if there is a comma or just no space. But not a full stop, you can't sell part of a copy.

It's easier to "copy" sales when they don't have any commas or full stops, because you just have to double click and it highlights it all, whereas with a mark inbetween, you have to drag the cursor of sales. Perhaps it's just because I'm being lazy! :P
December 22, 201113 yr I prefer with a comma otherwise I get confused with how big the number is ahaha
December 22, 201113 yr As for the question - the commas are obviously easier to ready but I could care less. If you could care less then you are currently caring at some level. Dont you mean you couldn't care less? :P Edited December 22, 201113 yr by tonyttt31
December 22, 201113 yr Commas are there for a good reason. They make it a lot easier to read the figure. Spaces and full stops are used elsewhere but commas are standard UK practice.
