Do we know what is happening with Misha? She seems to be doing exactly the same as Amelia and not releasing anything!

The pre-order for her album on Amazon has been taken down and it says we can "be notified when this item becomes available".

Aw come on Misha, even if it's not a hit, this album is going to be amazing based on the quality of the first 3 singles, just let those of us who care enjoy it :kink:

JUST as I was starting to love her music.

Same :( Just shows you can't make one slight blip without being branded a complete flop now which is a shame as it will no doubt stop any risk taking or originality in the future.

These X Factor acts are really dropping like flies now woops.

DYTOM was actually not bad. But Here's To Everything was SUCH a weak song, no wonder it flopped really

I thought 'HTE' was lovely. An incredibly underrated song.

'DYTOM' was definitely the best of the three.

She was in the studio last night though

It's sad. I knew it was going to be an uphill climb for her but I never expected it to be over this soon

I feel like she'll be fine anyway - like, she doesn't strike me as the sort of artist who needs mainstream success to continue anyway, due to the genre she's in. She'll get on an independent label, release more mixtapes and release the sort of music she wants to release. It might not do well, but like I say, I don't feel like it'll bother her hugely anyway, and will continue to mix in the British RnB culture for a while.

I wouldn't have bought her album based on what I'd heard with 'Home Run' and 'Here's To Everything' and wasn't a fan of her on X Factor, but 'Do You Think Of Me?' was an incredible song and one of my favourite songs of last year so it is a shame that she seems to have been dropped from her label.

There is nothing wrong with going to an independent label however, and as long as Misha believes being commercially successful isn't more important than releasing music, it will benefit her in the long run. Just look at Diana Vickers now, she signed to her new independent label in around March and will have released 2 singles and her new album by September and she is releasing the music she wants to with full creative control!

To be fair, in this case it's less "one strike and you're out" (Amelia) and more an admission that it just wasn't working with Misha. 'Home Run' and DYTOM were both released at 59p, both scraped in around the #10 position and bombed right out. Even after DYTOM it was pretty much clear that she wasn't gonna get a hit any time soon, and then 'Here's To Everything' was just a final blow of sorts. It's a pity, but like others have said I'm sure she'll continue to make and release music.

I was sad to hear about this, but it's not surprisng in the slightest. Home Run and Do You Think Of Me? both had the makings of big hits, but they just didn't happen at all, and then Here's To Everything didn't even try to happen  She could and should have been a lot bigger but alas. Do You Think Of Me? was incredible and Here's To Everything was pretty great too, Home Run was also good for what it was. It's true though that she'll probably make music still which is great.

It's been FAR TOO LONG since we've had new Misha music :( All three singles so far have been great also. (late reply oops)
