SLY was supposedly performed on The Voice, by a contestant who was a backup singer during Adele's US tour.

It was, she wasn't terribly talented (good enough but the song was too big) but someone chose her. Can't remember who

So basically the Adele show!

Glad Ed Sheeran got his first US iTunes placing but what a random song! What's behind it (I haven't read previous posts yet)

Hmm, I wonder if Rolling In The Deep could return to the top 5 after the Grammys? :o

I hope not. She shouldn't be a victim of overkill and radio stops playing singles #4 and #5, or worse still, totally disown her for the next album. Hopefully she'll perform SFTTR or better still, another song.

As already stated, this was played in a soup bowl commercial or something...

I can't see Adele being totally disowned for the next album, even if she waits many years before releasing it. She's just been too popular this time around for her to not get support next time. But she'll probably diminish in popularity (I'm sure the music itself could still be great though).

At least two minutes were used during a scene in 'The Vampire Diaries' last night.

I don't know if Kelly recieved any sort of boost but 'What Doesn't Kill You' was also used in at least two shows on Wednesday night, one of them being American Idol (it's also getting the Glee treatment in a couple of weeks).

Well you're right, I had a drama queen moment in my last post!

'Rolling In The Deep' overtook, 'Glad You Came' back down to #14. But it's now confirmed to get the Glee treatment in the episode airing 21st February so hopefully that could boost it into the top 10 if it hasn't already made it in.

Ugh Ed Sheeran. :puke2: Anyone but him (And JLS)!

I would have thought Domino would have been heading for the top 5 at this stage. Still great it got top 10 but I thought it would have done better.

Yeah I think Domino may have reached its peak Hot 100 position now which is a shame. I just wonder what she'll follow it up with...Laserlight perhaps? It's got the David Guetta connection and was used to follow up Domino in Australia.

:right: 2. Kelly Clarkson - What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) 86.2% (+7.2)

 6. Madonna - Give Me All Your Luvin' (feat. Nicki Minaj, M.I.A.) 47.5% (+3.9)

 7. Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know (feat. Kimbra) 41.5%

 13. Adele - Rolling In The Deep 32.7%

 14. The Wanted - Glad You Came 32.1% (+3.2)

Now that Kelly's lost the #1 effect I'm thinking Adele might just overtake her again. But only if she can pass out Fun (I refuse to acknowledge the period after 'Fun' - WHY IS IT THERE) before Kelly does.

Ooh wait the 60 Minutes think must be helping Set Fire. I totally forgot about that. Still I reckon she'd be gaining anyway. Hope she passes it before she runs out of steam. She should get at least one more week at #1 then.

The full stop is there because that's the name of the band. They're called 'fun.', not 'Fun'.

I hope Adele performs Set Fire To The Rain at the Grammys tomorrow, that'd give it a good shot at getting at least one more week at #1.

Yes but WHY are they called that? It's so fugly and messy to have to put a period in the middle of a sentence. Then you get the lack of a capital letter at the start of a proper noun and my grammar OCD is just going CRAZY. Same situation with 'lovestrong'. I'll call it 'Lovestrong' thank you!

I'm willing to let my grammar OCD go if that's the way the band stylise themself.

I can just imagine what their entry on the chart would look like though:

71 N 1 fun. feat. Janelle Monáe We Are Young

Looks a bit odd with 'fun.' and 'feat.' looking so similar :P
