Yeah, SFTTR is a dead shot #1 next week if it holds in sales. Airplay's increasing ridiculously well. And yay for The Wanted... back in the 100s now.

Any news on Ellie? Can't see anything on my phone

104 + 183 supposedly. Letterman didn't do as much as I'd expected, maybe I overestimated how big the show was or maybe her performance was terrible.

EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxmkAEzEF-k Yeah just a terrible performance.

Not bad performance but not great. Its such a shame. I miss the days when she had golden, wavy hair and just wore a hoody and jeans to live gigs. All the comments on the videos used to be 'she's so normal', but she seems to have sold out a bit. Shame :(

It's not even that she's sold out. Selling out would be going in some slutty outfit or whatever. This is just her going through some awful "I want to be an indie "dark" artist" phase and I hope it passes quickly as it's terrible and NOBODY wants it from her. Christ. Way to waste a promo slot Ellie.

'Lights is up to #87 on the Hot 100 and 'Glad You Came' has come in at #85 - British invasion :P

'Caaled Out In The Dark' is a new entry at #78 also :D

The Ellie Goulding version of 'Your Song' was used on American Idol last night, not that it helps 'Lights' at all.

'Shake It Out' & 'Charlie Brown' were used too along with 'Good Feeling' (well, the Etta James original was performed, the others were just used in the background).

edit; 'Turn Me On' also used.

Well Shake It Out seems to have gotten a bit of a boost anyway. Your Song in the 800s. Video Games finally charted on the Hot 100 too! #91.
Well if Ellie can get 87 with being 130 all week on iTunes, then Im sure if she can hold onto 100ish this week then she is sure to beat her peak of 85 :)
Well Lights is already falling. It's #108 now. Bassnectar rising to #168 (it was #185 last time I checked) should make up the difference though so it's all good. I'm still not sure how big Lights can be. I don't know if the top 40 is on the horizon. Could end up doing a Shark In The Water and run out of momentum before making any big inroads.

Good on Wanted cracking the USA, something Jls never managed to do.

83. The Wanted - Glad You Came

107. Ellie Goulding - Lights

To be fair, Glad You Came is great while everything JLS tried with (WHY WOULD YOU EVEN BOTHER WITH EVERYBODY IN LOVE) was awful.

Everybody in Love was produced by JR Rotem, who was EVERYWHERE a couple of years ago, so I can understand why they assumed that one would be the best chance of a hit in the US. Beat Again was a rehash of Akon's sound from a few years before that, which would've just sounded old to the US in 2010.

David Guetta looks close to the #1 now! Yikes!!!

And I hope Drake is still #11 when the final Glee Cast song drops out the top 10. Glee Cast probably do good for the US charts tbh, that chart, more than any other, needs a shuffle around of the top 10 occasionally.

I wonder what Pixie will release as her debut single in America? She's announced she's away to attempt to break America In the next two months. I could see a new album happening with

All About Tonight

What Do You Take Me For

Boys & Girls

Mama Do

Turn it Up

Gravity

Here We Go Again

Coming Home

and maybe another 2-3 new singles

Hasn't Pixie already released Boys and Girls in the US? I seem to remember her doing so, although maybe I'm wrong.

Time-travelling back to 2004 and releasing What Do You Take Me For? is ALSO AN OPTION.

David Guetta up to #1! :o Wow.

She released Boys & Girls In The Usa, it didin't go higher than 900 but that was an awful lead single it wasn't promoted either.

09. Jessie J - Domino

73. The Wanted - Glad You Came

108. Ellie Goulding - Lights (Also at #190)

324. Jessie J & B.o.b - Price Tag

663. Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love

915. Nicole Scherzinger - Don't Hold Your Breath

Turn Me On is going to stop Set Fire To The Rain having a long run at #1 isn't it :( Ah well, hopefully SFTTR will get there at least for this week.
