The Almost Saturday Charts are a Mike Robinson Production & based on an average from 5 Download sites, actual iTunes sales, & HMV Physicals.

Let's start off with the latest top 55 of 2011...which includes every download/physical selling over 300,000 in the period of Saturday 1st Jan to Friday 30th December 2011

We can't say, whether a certain BBC station will be this up to date tomorrow in their countdown, as they fight out to beat the audience on Independant Radio, who will also be doing "The Big Top 40" of 2011 & confusing everyone! :puke2:

The album only made #53 & the single didn't do anything, when it was released last January

10 SAVING A LIFE - CLIFF RICHARD & FREDA PAYNE Cliff, that well known British Indian put out an album, where he joined with Soul greats. This single featured Freda Payne from Detroit, but in October it didn't do a thing

11 MONARCHY OF ROSES - RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS the Los Angeles band looked for a 25th top 50 single, But they didn't get it, because in November it failed to dent the top 100

12 HAPPY THIS CHRISTMAS - MICK HUCKNALL that ginger bloke from Simply Red issued this single, this month. It didn't sell a lot of downloads, but it did make the physical sales top 10

01 04 HAPPY CHRISTMAS (WAR IS OVER) - PLASTIC ONO BAND 102,000

It was indeed that close in 1980's hidden chart covering 22nd to 27th Dec & you only had 4 days sales, with no shops open on either Christmas Day or Boxing Day & of course (thankfully) no damn Sunday trading in those lovely days! Those Woolworths sales keeping "Grandma" in the top 3, without them they only made #3 & John would of knock his self off the top, more than once through Dec & Jan...Oh yeah & Jona Lewie would have taken top spot, on the 29th Dec to 3rd Jan period, had John survived. Yep, things would have been certainly different.

Credit to Mike, who took the MRIB figures & translated them to Woolworths missed sales.

103k for Paradise? Woah!

I don't think Mylo Xyloto has sold over a million as it would need to clear 140k this week to do that (very unlikely).

The year to date chart above will have sales from Sunday 25th December included, so it be entirely different from the Radio 1 version transmitted tomorrow afternoon at 4pm with Tom Deacon.

Regarding the YTD chart chat thread tomorrow, I'm away late afternoon, not sure if other chart mods are around, but if anyone wants to do the thread topic for it, check with the chart mods first whoever is online before creating a topic for it.

You might want to rephrase that!

Oh dear & I didn't even spot it! Sort of ill-unintentional remark, that one of todays chart presenters might fluff up on!

Cheers for the charts Dave. Good to see the chart from 1980. Shame the BMRB didn't compile a chart for this week in 1980, it would have given John Lennon a hat trick of number 1 singles.
So after missing out on #1 at the last minute, "Champion" is now going to be relegated to #41 for the year in its last week. Unluckiest song of the year?

'Moves Like Jagger'? :P

'Moves Like Jagger'? :P

That was massively successful outside the UK as well so doesn't really count.

Think Champion will hold on at 40 - Lego House and Cannonball are probably too far behind to make up the gap in two days.

Great that it looks like the whole Top 40 will be above 400K as well as the Top 20 over 500K! :D
