In any year I'd have thought that Gotye would have walked this but 2011 has been exceptional for discoveries and high quality (thanks almost entirely to the cheapness vetting) so I'm not so sure. Most of the winners were incredibly strong.

 

I would honestly be gobsmacked if Gotye won TBO over the likes of Lana Del Rey/Loreen which are my personal tips to win this contest overall.

I can confirm Gotye failed to chart in Ashton with sales to date totalling 83 copies.

True Love getting through is excellent. As is Gotye! :D

WOO, the proud owners of one sixth of the Best Of final :wub: Lise is indeed the only act worth bothering with in MGP next year (sweeping statement without having heard any of the songs).

Not particularly a fan of this FSR Rontvia track (btw, I actually listened to Eric's album this week), probably because it reminds me of a Robyn track, and unlike most on here, I hate 90% of Robyn's music.

This is exactly my opinion too! I don't like Robyn's music the majority of the time - and at the moment (it might still grow on me), I'm not too keen on Lise's song either :L
