Get Together the third single from Confessions On A Dance Floor album in May 2006. This was the next song to be released as a single as it was the third most downloaded song only after Hung Up and Sorry, Jump was originally planned to be the third single. The lyrics, about the different possibilities of finding love on the dance floor and critics loved the song.

So it was no surprise that the song went to #1 in Spain and Hungary.

The music video incorporated Madonna's performance of the song at London's Koko Club, but it was animated to make it different visually. The video showed Madonna singing the song amongst graphical visuals portraying volcanoes erupting and a cityscape.

The cover artwork for the single features Madonna and her Confessions Tour crew members, including the song's producer Stuart Price. The photo alternatively can also be found on the inlay cover of the I'm Going to Tell You a Secret DVD.

Madonna performed the song on her Confessions Promo Tour in 2005 and the Confessions Tour in 2006 where she was accompanied by two dancers wearing horse reins around their head.

Get Together was used to promote the Confessions Tour and are even used at the end of the dvd extras!

In 2007, Warner Bros released the live version from the Confessions Tour as a bonus track on the digital version of the album and the song was nominated in the category of Best Dance Recording at the 49th Grammy Awards.

LOVE this song. my favourite single from her. yes, I even prefer it to 'hung up'. such a soothing song to listen to.
Obviously nowhere near the majesty of Hung Up or Sorry but this is a brilliant song nonetheless. Very underrated in her back catalogue I feel.

It's a beautiful song. I love a good silky dancefloor downtempo. She did some great performances of it on the promo tour too. I'll take the album version every time, it's too good a song to chop two minutes out of.

Damn! You deleted the version I commented on! :P

Get Together is my least favourite out of the four singles, but by no means my least on Confessions! I really like the video too, but I'm probably alone on that! :D

Love the track was my favourite on the album for a while. The performance on the confessions tour was stunning!!! Was a little sad that it was not featured on the 'Celebration' album!!!

Would love her to revisit this track on the next tour!!!

I wouldnt mind discussing 'Everybody' her debut release at soem point!

I sort of dismissed it as album filler for quite a while, but I love it now (less so than the other Confessions singles though). I did really want 'Jump' as the third single and still wish it had been, but this is a class track all the same.

THIS.

I actually think for maximum singles chart success globally the perfect singles order would have been:

01 Hung Up

02 Sorry (UK) / Jump (US)

03 Jump (UK) / Sorry (US)

04 Get Together

In America she hadn't had a decent hit out of a third single since Music (or Ray Of Light if we're talking top 20) and she was on proper shaky ground after all of the American Life singles bombed so I don't think Sorry ever stood much of a shot there. It was too much of a straightforward dance track when radio weren't really playing dance songs (obviously Hung Up had the benefit of huge comeback single hype, numerous performances etc). Jump is poppier and I can imagine it might at least have been a top 40 hit as the second single there and a top 5 as our third single. And maybe if she'd been inclined I Love New York could have been the third US single (but gone unreleased here). I'm sure not many will agree with that mind you LOL.

All that said though it was a pretty perfect run of singles.

I really love Get Together (and Sorry) are my favourite singles from Confessions. I can see why people like it over Hung Up.

The live performance was great towards the end with the repeated Get Together bit is genius!.

I love the tiefschwarz remix - one of my favourite ever remixes.

Vibe, Everybody will be coming up soon as song of the week (next week or the week after).

Like most people, it's my least favourite song out of the 4 Confessions singles but I still love it and when I listen to it now it brings back memories of the excitement of the tour that summer. I remember buying the CD singles and the vinyl from HMV the week it was released, it came in a nice Picture Disc :)
