Should have Masterpiece been released as a single ?

The song won best original song at sunday's golden globes, it's used at the end of W.E.'s film credits, there's currently no plans to have this released but what do you think ?. Could have this ballad been a success for Madonna ?. Could this song have promoted W.E. in the charts ?.

Yeah but they are taking ages to release it, really it should of been out before the GG incase if it did win.
I'm not sure, because Gimmie All Your Lovin' is released soon, so I wouldn't want it to ruin any chances for that. Although, I guess she could still promote Masterpiece as well as GAYL, without releasing Masterpiece as a single, which would help them both do well. I'm sure they'll be a video for Masterpiece anyway :D
Yes, because it's a lot better than Give Me All Your Luvin' is shaping up to be.

I have not illegally downladed 'masterpeice' as i was waiting to purchase it legally. I have just seen on 7 digital that you can not buy the song separately, you have to purchase the whole album!!!

I expect it will be the same on ITUNES, i think this is not the best decision!

Its a shame she couldn't have released this separately late last year leading up to the film`s release. I think it is a strong Madonna ballad and should have had its chance to shine. It could have helped promote the film too. Although, at the moment we don't know how the strong the other tracks on the new album are, there could be better single potential on there. I am really pleased it is included on the album though.

Guess Who's Got Record of the Week on Radio 2 (the most listened to Radio station in the UK) , yes its Madonna !!!

I've got to say I think its a Crackin Song! Worthy of being a single, would have been the first choice! Particularly after all the promo for W.E.

Masterpiece does sound a lot more mature than anything she has done recently so it could prove more popular.

While we're in British territory, let's spend a couple of words about "Masterpiece".

News broke from BBC Radio2 earlier this week that the beautiful Madonna song from the "W.E." soundtrack and the MDNA album was named Record of the Week, which means that UK listeners were able to hear the song every day this week during the Ken Bruce and Alex Lester show, and was also added to the B list across the Heart Network nationwide.

Heard this on Heart yesterday, of all places  It must be getting the single treatment, Heart never play singles that are this current, let alone album tracks from albums that aren't even released yet for a few days
I'd really like this to be a future single from MDNA. Its one of the best tracks on the album.
Masterpuke is dreadful. Hopefully when it flops they'll quickly brush it under the carpet and release Turn Up The Radio.

Masterpiece

Now this is real Madonna!

I wonder if radio 2 are the only station playing this. I haven't heard it on any other station.
