January 24, 201213 yr The government of the United States of America has successfully KILLED cloud computing, a vital technological advance that makes business so much easier was killed because Hollywood didn't like that occasionally it was used as a way to pirate content. And all because they couldn't compete.

Wow, amazing. Shame the Feds dont operate with the same ruthless efficiency when it comes to bsnking fraud on Wall Street... -_-
January 25, 201213 yr Ridiculous. Ugh, we witnessed the rise and, as of now, the collapse of the Internet.
January 26, 201213 yr Are you kidding me?! I literally uploaded something to there yesterday. Christ Almighty. What are we meant to do if we want to share files without the sites designed to do just that? People will just use masked links and upload stuff divided into rar archives, which is harder to track. Other sharing sites will emerge. Until SOPA people will give up. Not much of a chance but hopefully. Oh and mediafire is working perfectly fine. Edited January 26, 201213 yr by Ljósið
January 31, 201213 yr Author Apparently deletion of ALL content on MegaUpload servers may begin as early as Thursday.. Whether the content is legit or not... Basically, it's a "tar everyone with the same brush" solution...
January 31, 201213 yr Author Isn't that just a little illegal? You'd think, wouldn't you? Oh, but remember, it's us 'Joe Schmoes' who are subject to the law, not *those* guys....
January 31, 201213 yr I bet their next genius move will be to just delete all the internet to save the problem of copyright infrigements. :D Edited January 31, 201213 yr by Ljósið
February 1, 201213 yr You know, I did watch tv shows on megavideo and videobb. More than anything because of convenience. (also because I wanted to watch shows exactly when they became availible for consumption and not wait until it comes to Europe.) Them being gone doesn't mean I'm going to start rushing out to buy the dvd box sets for those tv shows. The big executives probably think so.... -_- Youtube next? February 3, 201213 yr They won't ban YouTube, if they do, it would literally be an internet war without a doubt. Megaupload got shut down and it triggered a big enough reaction. With YouTube gone as well, I just can't think of what the reaction would be. Literally every Internet users use it as well.

If the idiots try to shut down Youtube, then Anonymous wont have to use duplicitous means to get people to join in a Denial of Service attack, they'll have literally BILLIONS of volunteers..... LOL Actually, you know what, sod it, let the powers-that-be try to shut it down.. I'm curious too see if I'm right.....
