the entire album is much better than 'talk that talk'! :o particularly 'roc me out' and 'drunk on love' as well as 'where have you been' obviously.

I'd have had the singles go:

1. we found love

2. drunk on love

3. roc me out

4. where have you been

I would have been exactly the same, those are most certainly my favourites off the album and I would leave WHYB till 4th as well as that is the one song that will perform very well never mind how late its released into the era, and I would have loved to have seen DOL and RMO (my personal favourite) released. They would have done far better than the awful YDO.

About to fall out of the top 40! About f*cking time

It was down to #41 at 8pm, so has actually reclimbed a teensy bit since then - I really hope it'll be on its way out of the official top 40 promptly.

Looks like Lana Del Rey might go top 10 instead of Ed Sheeran - my feed had her at #11 and Ed at #12 a minute ago. (I updated it and she fell back to #13 but I think that was my feed reverting rather than updating). I hope Lana goes top 10 knocking out Flo Rida then Ed goes top 10 afterwards knocking out Pixie.

Love how Rolling in the Deep refuses to leave the top 100, at #92. Its never left the top 100 for a year now :o

Turn This Club Around climbing well now  #27

Charlie Brown  #97

No Light, No Light #83, not going top 40 is it? :( Maybe if performed at Brits?

Ah, if "Born To Die" can keep Ed Sheeran at bay until Friday she should have enough combined sales to go top 10. It'd be nice if the album version could make it on iTunes though, so Ed can knock Pixie back out while he still has momentum.

I think Born to die will be top 10 but Drunk won't be top 15 in the official charts this sunday.

Fixed

 I was wondering "maybe people are downloading a fake of "Next To You" because they can't live with the shame of having Bieber on their iPod..?"

What is this song doing so high!!!?!?!? :o :o So nice to see it in the top 200, it's such a beautiful song.

Edited by Eric_Blob

I agree. It's beautiful. Not heard it since something like 2006 or whatever though. So it's quite a random top 200 entry, 59p or not aha!

I just checked where it charted when it was released (excepting it to have been a massive top 5 hit or whatever), and it peaked at #18 in 2003. Such a shame. I bet I don't even remember the 17 songs that charted above it (although actually, 2003 was a brilliant year for music, so I probably do remember some of them, but you know ).

14. Dido - White Flag

For what it's worth, I actually did like that Fabolous song!

How is Single Ladies the worst song ever?!

Be Faithful is very marmite. I quite like it, although I can see why people wouldn't.

Turn Me On and Where is the Love? are both in the top 100 again! :D Love both those songs (as I'm sure everybody on here is well aware by now ).

Nice to see Obie Trice in the top 10. :D His next single is called Richard and features Eminem, and is due to be released sometime between now and April. "Dick" is a nickname for Richard, so I think I have an idea as to what the song will be about. :drama: I doubt it will go top 200 though, since it's not 2003 anymore... :(

Superstar is a classic. Baby Boy is amazing too. Very of its time though. Sean Paul is like the Pitbull of back then, and Scott Storch is like the Dr. Luke of back then.

White Flag is awesome. Rachel Stevens is just... Sweet Dreams My La EX seems like it's older than that to me though. P.I.M.P. is good (well, it's 50 Cent, let's not kid ourselves here), although I preferred the remix with Snoop Dogg that they played on the radio to the one from his album. I Believe in a Thing Called Love, I remember because a friend of mine had a Playstation karaoke game which we used to sing it to. It's like Grace Kelly, people sound terrible singing it because they can't hit the high notes.

I don't remember anything else though. So really Fabolous should've been a top 10 hit. :coffee:

Ooh. Kevin Lyttle  'Turn Me On' is a classic. 'Where Is the Love?' is still Black Eyed Peas' best ever song. Sugababes 'Hole In the Head' is alright. One of their singles that have aged the best, imo. Hilary Duff, meh. 'Wake Up' is far superior. (Also 'Beat of My Heart') 'Maybe' by Emma Bunton can FOAD along with 'P.I.M.P.'. '(There's Gotta Be) More To Life' seems SO much bigger than it actually was. :o It's weird. At the time everyone I knew was singing it and I thought it would do better than it did. Darkness and Dido both have better. 'Ooh Wee' has aged really, really well I think! 'Sweet Dreams (My LA Ex)' was good for the first week but then I got bored of it. Thank God the better songs were still to come, 'So Good'! 'Baby Boy' is boring and dull to me. One of Beyoyo's more overrated hits.

Off topic, but what happened to Wayne Wonder 'No Letting Go'? (when I think of Kevin Lyttle 'Turn Me On' I ALWAYS think of this ) I went to check it's chart run as I strictly remember Kevin Lyttle and Wayne Wonder both being huge at roughly the same time and was wondering whether they actually competed against each other in the charts or whatever, so was shocked to see that Wayne was released 4 or 5 months BEFORE Kevin and it's chart run went...

5-5-5-7-{3}-6-17-41->8 Weeks.

Did it get deleted? that song was EVERYWHERE and ridiculously popular at the time so I doubt it fell that quickly because people were getting bored of it or whatever

2003 was great for RnB! Those two songs mentioned above as well as Big Brovaz 'Baby Boy', which was around the same time, too. All wonderful.

Yes, I remember it getting deleted. (Don't ask why). I remember the follow-up single was huge with the chavs briefly, thankfully in the real world it bombed.

Black Eyed Peas's first album was actually fantastic, I prefered Black Eyed Peas before they became the most generic pop act.

Well, I like all their albums, but yeah, I think I prefer their urban-sounding songs. One thing I'll always remember about their first album (well, Elephunk wasn't their first album, they had others before, but Fergie wasn't in the group then, so they flopped ) was that one of the teachers at school confiscated it off us because it had too many swear words in it. It just made us want to listen to it even more when we got it back tbh. The album wasn't that bad in terms of language (certainly not compared to Eminem's and 50 Cent's albums out at the time), but they were in the news quite a bit because a lot of people were angry about them using the word "retarded" heavily in one of their songs. Which gave them a bad reputation from the get-go really. :(

All the adults like them now though because of I Gotta Feeling.
