^^ To be honest I don't see Will.i.am #1 material, with Kings Of Pop's version around.

I would prefer Gotye at #1 next week.

Video Games has shifted nearly 272,000 units since release

We got an exact total for it from Music Week the other day :P

RAMBLY COMMENTARY;

6k lead for Alyssa is probably closable - come on Guetta!

Bit of a shock to see Feeder in the top 40, but they obviously won't hold on. Should be another top 100 hit for them though amd probably outpeaking 'Side By Side' (#91 last year).

Wow at Lana doing another 20k yesterday :o Will definitely be comfortably over 100k then and maybe even approaching 150k?

Shocked at how high Leonard Cohen's sales are too, I thought he was just #2 'by default' due to really low sales at the top of the chart but he could sell 50k or so this week :o

Hope The 2 Bears' album can stay top 40 on Sunday

James Morrison back in the top 40 at #39 and Drake/Rihanna climbing again (+ Drake's album back in the top 20) :cheer: Paradise only just clinging onto the top 20 at the moment, really hope it holds on so it reaches 15 weeks there.

Charlene reclimbing -_-

'19' climbing again in the albums :cheer: Surprised it's holding so well since her Royal Albert Hall performance was shown on TV, I thought it would have dropped back down to the 40s by now.

'No More Idols' still in the top 40 :D

Midweek Charts: Del Rey boosts flagging albums market

Lana Del Rey’s Born To Die has become the first big-selling new album of 2012 after taking just three days to clock up nearly 70,000 sales.

Wow! :cheer:  :yahoo:

Bit childish to suddenly stop supporting an artist just because you dislike a demo of their single.[/q

I would hardly say it was childish. Your remarks suggest that people are not entitled to express their dissatisfaction if they dont like an artists song or the direction in which their music is heading. Its also a bit like saying thatu should support an artist no matter what they release regardless of whether u like the song. I realise its only the demo but ive heard that the radio version isnt much different.

I'm generally surprised to see Feeder at number 35 :o . Hope it can hold into the Top 40 for Sunday :D
'Alone Again' is a little bit of a guilty pleasure, reminds me of something Cascada would do! :kink:

Yeah definitely Cascade vibe from it! I like it, but I love Titanium and have done since Guetta released his album  So its been a long time so really want to see it at #1 come Sunday. Just love Sia's voice too so would be great for her to be at #1.

So, according to Music Week:

01 Alyssa Reid 40k so probably 75-80k by Sunday

02 Guetta / Sia 34k (up 45% on this time last week) so presumably about 80k?

06 Gotye ("almost double" of this time last week) over 20k now so closing on 50k by Sunday

09 Pitbull / Brown (up 28% on this time last week) at least 30k I'd imagine

Sales are looking healthier already!

It was only sales at the top that were unhealthy to start with :P

True, although sales at #10 haven't really been getting consistently close to 30k and over as they were at times last year.

Alyssa was always going to get a strong start, it seems to be falling a bit on Itunes now, so hopefully Titanium will overtake by the weekend - :drama: at Charlene reclimbing though

Alyssa Reid may end up on Gezza's thread Midweek Chart toppers- A Guide.... of songs that were at the Top mid meek but got overtaken by Sunday.

Well, I would prefer Gotye at the top next week too but I see Will.i.am selling more than 100k next week.

Will.I.Am's horrendous song IS going to be a #1, it's undeniable and I knew it since I first heard the song unfortunately.

Aww no. I like Sir Mick Jagger's part.

Go grab that Top 40 Re-entry in the albums chart KELLY! :D Nice to see Cher back above (and climbing one place) One Direction too :D Good day/update for me!
Nice to see Pixie climbing! Hope she can climb up to #10-12 come Sunday

Who was the last Canadian act to go to #1 was it Bryan Adams with Mel C? I can't think of anyone else at the moment.

Nelly Furtado with 'Maneater' I think. 'When You're Gone' wasn't a UK #1 anyways. :P

oops, gutted that didn't make #1, it was just a great track for some reason I thought it did. Epic fail me, should have done my research first. -_-
