Hello GD,

Good to see Guetta and Giyte in your top 3 and Ed Sheeran into your top 10. Here are my favs out of the ones I've heard:

Hey Rich :)

49. Lana Del Rey - Carmen (NEW) (CR-49)

Sorry, but Anggun`s song is MUUUUUUUUUUUCH worse than "Cesse La Pluie" :P Great chart!

Thanks Mavoy, do the right thing and let Guetta in - for Sia's sake ;wub: I'm really looking forward to Emeli's album and Lana's is great!

1. I'm pretty sure it'll do well, the instrumental is accessible to all areas, I think. I can see where you are coming from with the 'pure' dance angle, must be the vocals.

4. Yep, Lingen I Min Hand is in another league. I'll have to check if there are any other real standouts.

33. Wow, thanks, this makes me incredibly happy. I'm hoping to dark horse it through then, would love to finish top 10. It's grown on me hugely since entering it too, just when I thought it wasn't possible to love it any more.

40. I think I had heard it bandied about that it was a cover, I shall have to check that out at some point then.

1. Hopefully so, we'll see!

33. It's definitely a grower, I reckon it might perform better in the final than its expected to based on the semi results!

Hi Rich! :D I was going to be indignant about the lack of SoSo, but I've read through the comments  I don't remember you charting it, do you have the chart run? (I want some points :kink: I'm really afraid I'll be a flop let-down after all this hype! :drama: )

1. Prance Faris - Flares (3) (CR-31-15-9-2-3-3-1) Ah, it broke through! Really strong entry, in solid rotation for me now, though I do wonder if the lack of focus on vocals might put some voters off? I hope not, and I'm probably just talking bollocks

9. Moa Lignell - When I Held Ya (10) (CR-10-9) I have to say, I didn't really note this one at all - gave it a couple more listens during deciding my votes but there was way too much competition for it to even be in contention for a point

10. Tooji - Stay (15) (CR-18-15-10) This is immense to me now - the vocals are just incredible!

11. Lise Karlsnes - Sailors (16) (CR-19-16-11) Many thanks for pointing out the album (despite the mix-up  ), it's superb! Really hope this gets through tomorrow

18. Tone Damli - Look Back (28) (CR-28-18) Easily the standout from my listen of Semi 1, put straight into rotation for me - my pick for a winner, such crossover potential, as it appears to be showing in Norway itself!

27. The 2 Bears - Work (NEW) (CR-27) Did they have a song in BJSC last year? I seem to recall not many people liking it. This is quite good, though, great production!

28. Emma Lewin - No Excuses (18) (CR-10-18-28) I foresee this coming back much stronger if we get a final version?

40. Lena Philipsson - Live Tomorrow (NEW) (CR-40) Just came on shuffle - well, the Sthlm mix - and it really is fantastic. I hadn't heard of her before, but Tyron got me onto her GH and she has some brilliant songs! Particularly love Lena Anthem :kink:

46. Dia Frampton - Billy The Kid (NEW) (CR-46) Another strong one from Semi 1, underrated in the odds (which is why I gave it some good ones, haha), seems like a top ten contender to me!

Great chart! Sad Gotye was so close to going back to #1 yet again  :P

Thanks David - I thought I had charted SoSo but in fact not! It was at the very TOP of my breakers playlist for weeks but I must have forgotten to actually chart it  I do really like it though and I still think that you'll do very well with it, top five minimum. Problem is that I've already heard nearly everything I like this month - of the 26 songs that were 'discoveries', I could have happily not discovered 20 of them  So the songs that I already know will benefit, I've already decided not to dock points for familiarity.

1. Yes, I knew that if I didn't let it have a week at #1 it would be a forever regretted #2, and I got my #1's so perfect during 2011 (my top 17 of the year all topped my chart) that if I can, I'd like a similar pattern this year! I love it so much though, and I bought it on iTunes this week - didn't even expect it to be on there! Ready for its big UK push in the summer no doubt :P I'm not expecting it to win because of the issue that you pointed out but I'd like to see it come top 3rd-6th if it can!

9. This isn't in my chart because of BJSC, I've been waiting for this to leak in studio form for months since she performed it on Idol, I guess I was always going to love it  I can see how it's not instant to people that don't already know it though.

10. They really are, I'd be quite happy to see Tooji going to Baku!

11. I meant to post the link, honest  I'd love to see Sailors go through too, I'm worried that it may just fall short - perhaps the jury wildcard will save it if it does?

18. Indeed, but I do think that Call Me Maybe is a little more likely to take the twee string pop votes than Tone, it already seems to be on course for quite a few 12s from what I've noticed in other personal charts. Both should be top five though.

27. They did, called Bear Hug, it was diabolical! This is great though, I love the production too.

28. Possibly so, this is only a demo after all, so it did well to get to my top ten.

40. I love Lena  She's had some real anthems in the past, her anthem being one of them of course! Classic Swedish old bag schlager diva!

46. Indeed, I've realised now that I've been underrating it, it will be top ten in my next set of odds for sure, along with Nightwish perhaps.

Poor Gotye, up against Titanium and Flares yet again, this top three is SO strong that even Eurovision can't penetrate it so far. Probably my strongest top three since White Light Moment, What's My Name and The Flood held my top three down for pretty much two whole months in November/December 2010

1. Great entry for BJSC! It's great how you come up with something completely different each month, some I like (Adaline, Katie Cole) and of course as you would expect some I don't (Elsiane)! I really like Flares though, and it definitely grows with more listens I think! And I see the Avicii comparison that were made in the BJSC forum :)

3. I've finally love this song! Talk about an ultimate grower, if I voted in the BJSC Gotye was in now, he would have definitely been in my top 3 - it just wasn't instant enough for me (and I think a lot of others as shown by it's TBO success). Glad it's doing well in the UK chart! :D

17. So pleased Cyprus chose La La Love, even though I liked all three - hopefully a return to the final for them!

35. Very happy with this choice for Denmark, I hope it doesn't have the same fate as Anna Bergendahl though!

Great chart! :D

1. Thanks Ryan, I really like your entry too - although it's not charting as I charted it before, most of my points in Semi 2 went to songs not currently in my chart  I try and mix up my genres regularly and therefore I can't and don't expect people to like everything I send each month! Flares is definitely a grower, as you can see by my chart run for it, but hopefully instant enough to do well.

3. Even I only gave it 4 points in the original contest, it took months and months to properly click with me! I'm not surprised it's slowly burning its way up the UK chart, it's too subtle just to debut at #1. It takes a few listens to get used to each part.

17. I'm sure it will be, I hope so at least, I'd like to see them do well this year!

35. I have to say that I don't like this as much as This Is My Life (which was robbed!), but it's very nice and should ease into the final.

1. Thanks! :D Flares didn't click with me till the 2nd listen (which isn't too bad - I'm sure nearly everyone listens to the entries more than once) so I would say it is instant enough to do well :)

17. Same! Cyprus is one of my favourite ESC countries recently, I've loved Evridiki, Christina and Jon Lilygreen and now Ivi too :D

1. Hopefully so  I know I listen to most of the entries twice at least in the semis (unless I really hate them) and then again in the final. Sending a subtle song to BJSC is always a risk, especially if it takes four or five listens to click, most people just don't have the spare time to devote that much attention to almost 50 songs!

17. They were all really good indeed, especially the latter two

Wooooohooooooooo. So a Juranabaijan entry makes it as highest-entry on your chart? At least I know I introduced someone to a song they love for once, such a good feeling. I think I'll start putting a bit more thought into my BJSC entries now, thinking what I like, and what people that haven't heard it will love!

Thanks Dan, yes indeed it was the highest new entry, a very good one at that and was indeed a discovery :D I'm gutted that you didn't make the final! I really think that you could win in the future, just find something amazing, inspired and unknown to most and you're onto a winner! Bear Hug is male, you never stood a chance :(

Good to see Tooji climbing into the top ten, it's my getting ready to go out song of choice these days.

I haven't heard your #1. However, your Top 3 is incredibly close & I'm loving Titanium and STIUK. I just had to re-enter the later again, the song is blowing up everywhere. It was song I never predicted becoming a smash when I 1st heard it.

It's quite shocking to think that WDKY (S) could be #1 in the US this week or the next after. Sales have exceeded any expectations I had of it.

Hi Rich. :D

1. Prance Faris - Flares (3) (CR-31-15-9-2-3-3-1) Really, really hope this becomes another top 2 for you. It's stunning.

2. David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium (1) (CR-4-1-2-3-7-12-18-23-29-32-29-39-OUT-33-27-19-5-1-1-2) Longest Runner

6. Plumbo - Ola Nordmann (11) (CR-25-11-6)

7. Minnie-Oh - You & I (7) (CR-4-7-7) Glad she hasn't dropped drastically as I feared she would for you. Can't believe she didn't get through

8. Ed Sheeran - Drunk (12) (CR-73-OUT-42-32-12-8)

9. Moa Lignell - When I Held Ya (10) (CR-10-9)

10. Tooji - Stay (15) (CR-18-15-10)

11. Lise Karlsnes - Sailors (16) (CR-19-16-11) Ugh. I can't find a decent quality video of this performance. But from the shitty one I can find, it sounds brilliant! I'm starting to get into this just as much as 'Red Hot'!

14. Cover Drive - Twilight (6) (CR-10-10-4-3-5-6-14)

15. Nora Foss Al-Jabri - Somewhere Beautiful (5) (CR-6-5-15)

36. Ladyhawke - Black White & Blue (42) (CR-42-36)

42. Dia Frampton - The Broken Ones (39) (CR-39-42) I still think Liam would have been better off sending this track over 'Billy the Kid', although I am starting to get into 'Billy the Kid' quite a bit and I do think it'll be a top 10 (pushing for top 5) contender!

46. Dia Frampton - Billy The Kid (NEW) (CR-46)

47. The Band Perry - If I Die Young (Re-entry) (CR-6-3-2-5-6-14-31-OUT-47)

50. Ria Ritchie - Only One (NEW) (CR-50)

Thanks Jonjo! I'm really pleased that you've taken to Flares, I know it won't appeal to everyone but I'm majorly in love with it  You & I is one of my favourite MGP songs so I doubt it will drop that quickly, despite her undeserved fail :( I don't think I'll ever love Sailors as much as Red Hot but it's very very good nonetheless, she's a great artist! Haha, Kelly did well to get two separate stints in my top ten with that song, it's run its course for me but I still love it! I respect Liam for going with Billy The Kid over the single actually, I like it almost as much as The Broken Ones :o

Thank West, give my #1 a go, it's a euphoric Avicii-esque dance anthem, you might enjoy it!

Kelly has done incredibly well, glad to see that the US are appreciating her again

Hey! Some comments for you!

3. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (2) (CR-60-48-44-39-OUT-27-19-13-9-2-1-1-1-2-2-3) I'm actually starting to like this version now too, it should be charting with me in a couple of weeks time!

5. Marigold - You & I Know (9) (CR-18-14-11-21-9-5) Top 5! Marvellous! . It's such a tough month though, so I'm fully expecting it to be somewhere at the bottom of the scoreboard :(

6. Plumbo - Ola Nordmann (11) (CR-25-11-6) I was staying with a friend in London over the weekend, and her flatmates are Norwegian. When I told them Plumbo were the favourites to win, their reaction was hilarious - a lot of sighing, grumbling and "oh dear"s

10. Tooji - Stay (15) (CR-18-15-10) This is growing on me more now, would be happy to see it win this weekend!

16. Alyssa Reid feat Jump Smokers - Alone Again (25) (CR-25-6-15-25-16) I'm amazed at how well this has done on the UK chart!

27. The 2 Bears - Work (NEW) (CR-27) A shame this DNQ'd, it would have picked up a couple of points from me if I was voting in the opposite semi!

33. Nightwish - Turn Loose The Mermaids (NEW) (CR-33) Nice to see this enter! It is one of the best songs from the album! Could be a serious dark horse in BJSC

37. Anggun - Echo (You & I) (NEW) (CR-37) An absolutely fantastic entry for France! Whether it'll connect with the juries and Eurovision audience remains to be seen though!

Thanks Ghosty!

3. I'm pleased to hear that! Every time I think I'm getting bored of it I just listen to it and realise that I'm not

5. Yes indeed, it's my favourite entry of yours to date I think, I'd love to see it top ten but I agree that it probably won't have enough crossover appeal to get there. Had you sent it 20 contests ago when the range and tastes of voters were more diverse it would have eased into the top ten but the majority of the voters now live off a diet of generic/MOR female pop

6. Oh dear, that bad! I guess it's more or less my joint favourite finalist along with Stay but I'd prefer to see Tooji go to Eurovision, purely because he'd have a great chance, whereas Plumbo would have a great chance...of not qualifying for the final :drama:

16. It's bizarre isn't it...it's the sort of thing that would have done well in 2000 - faceless random pop cover version of an old classic  I do really like it though but I'm bemused at its success, I wish radio would pick up more random European pop songs, I'm certain that there'd be a market for it in the current chart climate.

27. I'm gutted that it did, it would have got at least 6 points from me in the final! I guess I can see why it would be an acquired taste though...

33. It's fantastic, will post a big climb in my next chart. It might be a bit too 'folky' to go any higher than low top ten but I'd love it to be a realistic contender!

37. I've liked all of their entries since 2007 now, they're on a great - and diverse - run of form, I just wish that their results were a bit better. They send strong songs and fail year after year so no doubt this will go the same way :(

Why did you put my signature at the top of the post? Yes no doubt I'll be back on form with the Eledan hating this month, by daring to send a stunning and melodic dance song! I have Dandy*'s support instead so maybe it has a small ounce of indie appeal? :o Why didn't you save Espen's entry? Not listened to it yet or not a fan?

Tooji will be higher than Plumbo in my next chart - this is six days old! I was waiting for the performance of life, which if I'm not mistaken propelled it from the bottom to the top of your top 40 :D

It looked ugly only having a list of songs!

I haven't heard Espen's entry yet, but I imagine it will be wonderful.

... after debuting at 9th place (which is higher than GD Hit Parade peak for Tooji :D ) a month ago. Don't forget that!
