Morning update: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=3890261

Now that the pre-order period for the new Madonna album is ended, Giv eMe All Your Luvin' has been deleted and the single has been re-added, so it will come back to the chart later this week.

You just saved me asking. :P

I noticed it had vanished this morning, but didn't know why.

I did say the pre-order offer ending would just mean it would disappear :P But if it has been re-added as a single then it should be chart eligible this week.

Birdy up to 16 and 54  Probably is heading for a new peak this week then... -_-

Lil Wayne/Bruno Mars up to 32 :o

'Bad Girls' up to #44 :cheer: Would be wondrous if this could make the top 40 somehow.

62. Let Me Go - Maverick Sabre

65. No One - Maverick Sabre

66. I Need - Maverick Sabre

Do we really need 'Let Me Go' and 'I Need' back? <_< His album might be #1 as well, it's #1 on iTunes.

Youngs Guns - Bones at #92 and the album of the same title is #5! I haven't heard this but I did like a few of the songs from their first (?) album so I'm glad to see them doing quite well.

I would love Bad Girls to make the top 40. Her songs are sometimes not very catchy, as I can find it difficult to pick out the rhythmn in some of them. But this one is awesome. I heard it was originally from a mixtape though? So it's amazing it's doing so well.

It's nice to see Lil Wayne doing well, although I'm honestly used to every song of his going to #30 on iTunes, charting at #45 officially and then spending 3 years in the top 1000. So I'm not getting my hopes up here. :drama: It's different to the other hip hop songs that Bruno sings on, probably because this one wasn't produced by Bruno. It's less cheesy and whiny than the others.

Yeah, I think Champion could've probably sold 400,000 if it was on air, on sale. Although, on the other hand, 300,000 is pretty good for a held-back #2. I'm sure some held-back #2s sell under 150,000 in total (and could've sold 200,000-250,000 if they were on air, on sale).

Yeah suppose it depend, That WILL.I.AM song would have charted 3 weeks ago with the video airplay if it had been available!

Yes, probably even longer than that. I think it could've easily charted before it had its music video tbh.

It's annoying Madonna got deleted lol. She was just about to get to #1 on US iTunes last time I checked.

Exactly, like with the Smash Hits brigade of 1999/2000 with their CD1, CD2 and CD3 formats to generate more sales for a #1 that promptly plummets 01-04-12-35-OUT. Joy!!!

So if 'Titanium' is kept at 59p then good. If it means Guetta feat. Sia stand the chance of getting a second week at no. 1 with the possibility of increasing its sales again then I'm all for it.

Can't rule out Gotye from #1 just yet. I reckon once Emeli Sandé Vs DJ Fresh has been and gone, Gotye will still be selling well so perhaps 'STIUTK' will finally top the charts then.

Yeah i agree if Emeli Sande and DJ Fresh had any sense the tracks would have been released this week or last..or heres a revolutionary idea release them when they are first played! :D

ALSO, Why is I believe in a thing called love top 40 on the US itunes??

Why is this climbing?

US radio are more open-minded than UK radio tbh, and they seem to be able to cater to more than 2 artists from each genre, unlike here.

I'm sorry but that's absolute bollocks. Pretty much every US artist who isn't a household name in Middle America fawns over Radio 1 because they have actual DJs with a passion for music doing shows and playing a hell of a lot more adventurous stuff. For instance, Skrillex probably gets more plays on Radio 1 than he does on every mainstream station in the US combined - R1 alone is miles more open-minded than the entire US radio network.

Not to mention that the US radio is a huge block and barrier for almost everything which isn't US-developed (by that I mean US artists or artists like Rihanna). US market has been very protectianistic for about 10 years at least (maybe much more but I hadn't followed the charts beforethat). Now the situation has got better but I remember the US charts 3-4 years ago. Complete borefest.
Why is this climbing?

It was used in the background of last night's episode of Eastenders :(

Used in a superbowl commercial.

go birdy! it appears to be doing a mini-'make you feel my love' and re-appearing into the top 20 every time it makes an appearence on a tv programme. the amount of weeks it's been in the chart makes up for it not going top 10 but it'd be great if it could finally get there! :D

It will at least outpeak it's #17 position where it originally peaked.

Will Birdy be known as a one-hit wonder. Or will she have more chart success with other songs?

Edit: You have to say Jar of Hearts, Wherever You Will Go and Skinny Love have no signs of going away yet from the chart

Though to be fair, Radio 1 can afford to take many more risks because it is funded by the UK taxpayer and doesn't need to attract an audience. The fact that it is so popular however is probably because it takes more risks.. Heart and all the other Global Radio group are so closed minded it's a joke and quite depressing frankly. I wouldn't quite go so far to agree with Eric that they are more close-minded than American radio, I'd say they are probably about the same really.

That said radio is becoming less and less popular as a medium (likewise Newspapers) as the iPod generation no longer need to listen to it anymore.
