To buy the cd single, the cassette single and the 7" is pure loyalty. Personally, whilst I like this (enough to chart it, similar to Lostprophets) I've preferred so many more of their singles over the years. Iirc Feeder released song last year (or maybe it was 2010) and I cringed at it and it rightly failed to make my top 40. So this a step in the right direction but they'd need to release something I consider great to put themselves back into my top 20.

Indeed I did. :D Personally I don't think the album deserves all the negative comments it seems to have generated over these last two weeks. I'd not heard any of the demo versions so judged each of the album tracks without any pre-conception of "it's not as good as the demo" way of thinking. Below is a rating for each track - overall I think the quality is brilliant and I actually like how the songs have a similar style as it works better as an album. When people say it's 12 versions of 'Video Games', they LIED. :D 01. Born To Die 11/10 :wub: 02. Off To The Races 8/10 03. Blue Jean 9/10 04. Video Games 10/10 :wub: 05. Diet Mountain Dew 8/10 (I can't help but think of Paloma Faith when I listen to this) 06. National Anthem 10/10 07. Dark Paradise 8/10 08. Lana Del Rey - Video Games 02. Will Young - Jealousy Then Gotye entered at #1 the week when 'Titanium' slipped 03-05. I would say that was one of the strongest periods of 2011 in my chart. Will Young really suffered due to just how much of an impact 'Video Games' had on me following BJSC. Otherwise I'm sure Will would've been my chart topper instead. Then Gotye had started doing well in a few countries leading to me entering the song into BJSC and it ended up dominating my chart. So 'Titanium' sadly had to settle for #3 in an extremely strong top 3. Still, almost 6 months so and I still enjoy these two tracks. They were so successful for me in its early chart run that I don't want to listen to them loads now otherwise I will get to the point where when the video comes on TV, I'll think "not this again" leading to the inevitable plummet. Seeing these as the top 2 tracks at the moment on UK iTunes is awe inspring. :wub: 29 (24) Rihanna - You Da One (Dave Aude Remix) (12-11-17-24-29) [5 wks] Such a flop by her standards, she needs to forget about this quickly... It wasn't a great single choice and had it not been for the Dave Aude remix, this wouldn't be here at all now. Even 'We Found Love' has gone ahead albeit by one place but that pretty much sums up how much more I like 'We Found Love' in comparison.

The first time I heard it wasn't until a few years ago (maybe around 2007 time) and I remember getting goosebumps just listening to the song. Easily one of the most classiest of Eurovision winners and remains one of my fave Eurovision winners of all time. Hence why I've taken a liking to your Nightwish entry in BJSC as it reminds me 'Nocturne' too. Of course I've got several faves this month in BJSC and I'm gonna have to go through the songs I like the most and work out my points. It's gonna be a toughie!!! :lol:

To buy the cd single, the cassette single and the 7" is pure loyalty. Personally, whilst I like this (enough to chart it, similar to Lostprophets) I've preferred so many more of their singles over the years. Iirc Feeder released song last year (or maybe it was 2010) and I cringed at it and it rightly failed to make my top 40. So this a step in the right direction but they'd need to release something I consider great to put themselves back into my top 20. Call Out from early 2010 perhaps? It went "if you wanna hear this song, you just call out, our name", extremely cringey in the lyrics department. :lol: First single off the Renegades album... I just found that track extremely underwhelming and even found the vocals as bit hmm!!! 'Renegades' did peak at #40 too - I'm sure you didn't search Feeder. :P Quite interesting that their last two singles have both peaked at no. 40 in my chart. To be honest, I'd completely forgot about 'Renegades'. :lol: Hence why it just scraped into my chart. The type of song I like for barely a week before completely forgetting all about it. Like I posted above, if Feeder released an absolute gem they would see themselves comfortably back inside my top 20 - it just seems their material now just doesn't compare to their early 00s singles.

Also buying the album last week gave the tracks a boost - 'BTD' at #1 for a fifth week, and 'Video Games' climbing slightly to #30. Like with 'Titanium' it's purely down to me avoiding overplaying the songs. Sure I still play them but you can start to get too much of a good thing. I always tend to listen to newer music more purely because it's just that; new. Songs that I've been listening to for near 6 months will always decrease in airplay over time. It's a brilliant slice of Scandipop imo, very uplifting and reminiscent of Infernal for some reason. :lol: As for BJSC, nothing enters my Pre-Release until after the final results have been posted. So The Storm will potentially enter my Pre-Release Chart next weekend (not in my new chart as the results have yet to be announced). In case you're wondering, Donkeyboy have made their pre-release appearance due to 'City Boy' entering the HIT30. Exactly the same as 'Mr. Saxobeat' by Alexandra Stan last year when Jester entered the song.
