Great to see Air back in the top 20 albums and Snow Patrol staying in the Top 20, Pet Shop Boys so much higher than i though but i think they will drop in every update, Goldfrapp will also be lucky to stay top 40 come sunday, id love the black kets to join air and snow patrol in the top 20. Im happy Lana Del Ray is holding of the competition to hold number 1 album. In the singles with just a 5k gap and Goyte now number 1 on itunes i think gotye will be number 1 on sunday although personaly i dont like the song at all myself.

There have apparently been some sort of a distribution problem with the Pet Shop Boys album, several people have not received the album because Amazon did not have enough in stock, and HMV at Oxford street were waiting for a shipment, they had no copies in stock earlier today.
Madonna at #64

Is that her new autobiography?!

I wonder if there be an upset next week, but somehow I can't see DJ Fresh and Emeli missing the top 2. If Emeli gets #1 next week I'll be happy with the #1s this year bar Cover Drive.

I cant see DJ Fresh or Emeli Sande doing that well, although I would love Emeli Sande to get to no1.

DJ Fresh's pre-order on iTunes has been top 100 for weeks and is now top 40 and there is a 'fake' version of Next To Me which has been top 100 on iTunes for a few days. There have been fakes of Hot Right Now floating around for a while too, one of which also made the top 100 at one point. They're both going to be huge and I would be shocked if they aren't the top 2 to be honest.

lol at Madonna flop.

Hopefully One thing will be top 20 on sunday. :yahoo:

I think it's between One Direction and DJ Fresh.

"One Thing" will do well to go top 10 IMO. #21 on iTunes now, could do an "Eyes Wide Shut" at best.

Official Singles+ B side presales is doing well on itunes though. Still in the itunes album chart for some funny reason.

From MW mag,

Tracks that are bubbling under top 40 in the singles chart are Florence "No Light No Light", Maverick Sabre "No One", M.I.A "Bad Girls", Maverick Sabre "I Need", Redd/Akon/Snoop Dog "I'm Day Dreaming", Macy Gray "I Try" and Goo Goo Dolls "Iris".

Albums that are bubbling under the top 40 in the album chart are Big Time Rush "Elevate", Beth Jeans Houghton "Yours Truly Cellophane Nose", Overtones "Good Ol' Fashioned Love", Therapy? "A Brief Crack Of Light" and Plan B "The Defamation of Strickland Banks".

I think One Direction - One Thing will go around #11-14 I would be shocked to see it go top 10, it's quite disappointing to be honest consedering how easy it should be to go top 10 during a quiet time period.

Midweek chart: Bottom's up for McCartney

Source: MW

13:11 | Friday February 10, 2012

By Paul Williams

Paul McCartney looks poised for his highest-charting non-Beatles album for nearly a decade and a half with Kisses On The Bottom heading for the UK top three this weekend.

The Hear Music/Mercury album has been showing up as a new entry at number three in the midweeks all week and by the end of business on Thursday had sold nearly 18,000 copies, according to the Official Charts Company. If it stays in this position by the time the full-week chart is published on Sunday it will be McCartney’s highest-charting album outside The Beatles since Flaming Pie debuted and peaked at number two in 1997.

McCartney’s albums chart success is happening in the same week Mick Jagger heads for the top five of the UK singles chart for the first time since 1985, reviving memories of the Beatles versus Stones rivalry of the 1960s. Jagger’s return, more than a quarter of a century after he topped the chart with the Live Aid single Dancing In The Street with David Bowie, comes via a guestspot alongside Jennifer Lopez on will.i.am’s newly-issued T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever). The Interscope/Polydor single is a new entry at three in the week so far.

Ahead of the Black Eyes Peas man’s single, Gotye is pressing David Guetta close to top the singles chart. There are fewer than 2,000 sales separating Guetta’s Positiva/Virgin single Titanium featuring Sia and the Island-issued Gotye featuring Kimbra cut Somebody That I Used To Know, which is two in the midweeks.

Polydor act Lana Del Rey is very likely to secure a second week at number one on the UK artist albums chart this weekend with Born To Die, while Maverick Sabre’s debut Mercury album Lonely Are The Brave should debut at two with latest Official Charts Company figures putting it around 15,000 sales ahead of McCartney’s album.

Video Games is hanging around. I'd love it to go back inside the top10 and beat its original peak of no9.

Ed Sheeran brought out a second video for Drunk so they are really pushing for top 10 with that. I'd be fine if it didn't though.

I wish we knew how far Guetta was ahead. Wasn't he behind by 1k to Alyssa last week and ended up with a lead of 9k on Sunday?

Still waiting for a mid report from MW, hopefully we get something between now and 4pm.

I'd prefer it to go inside the top 1! :)

This is true, I'm quite gutted, it could have been top 10 otherwise.
