Whats the difference between Hits Daily Double and BB200?

This is an educated guess sort of thing I think, basically like our midweeks but a bit more vague.

So its wednesday and Adele has already sold 242k? WTF thats mad!

No, it's not the midweeks.

They compile a Top 50 which is usually not far off the Billboard 200. They post a day earlier than Billboard, hence the interest.

Adele sold 237k last week according to Billboard, so HDD was 5k off.

That was for the week just gone(up to and including Sunday)/

The big one is this week(HDD chart published next monday and tuesday), estmated to be between 400-500k!.

HDD were right about '19' getting a new peak though - reported as #9 on Billboard's website as well :D
There's minor sales difference as Billboard Hot 200 is tracked using Soundscan I think which doesn't count all the sales but most of them throughout the US.

From Hits Daily Double (the Rumor Mill section) as regards Adele's sales next week:

It’s the perfect storm for six-time Grammy winner Adele’s XL/Columbia album 21, as the release explodes at retail, marking a year since its release last Feb. Judging by how sales settle after the post-Grammy, post-Valentine’s Day rush, Adele should do, conservatively, between 550-600k this week—her best to date—making her #1 for the, coincidentally, 21st week, tying the Soundscan mark set by MC Hammer’s Please Hammer Don’t Hurt ‘Em in 1990. And, ironically, bettering the 20 weeks logged at #1 by the late Whitney Houston's The Bodyguard soundtrack. Adele's previous album, 19, and live DVD are also catching fire in the marketplace.

Insane. So that'll be her speeding past 7million...
Adele will definitely get an 8th week in a row at #1 this time next week, but is there anything big out to prevent it from being the first album of the 21st century to have 9 consecutive weeks at #1? (*NSYNC's No Strings Attached, Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP and Creed's Weathered have each managed 8 which is the record since 2000).
1 ON FIRE: Look for sales of Adele's multi Grammy-winning XL/Columbia album 21 to soar past 650k this week, and continue to gain momentum, thanks to the triple play of last Sunday's awards show, her 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper and Tuesday's Valentine's Day resulting in a perfect storm at retail. The album will spend its 21st week at #1, while total U.S. sales soar above 7.3 million with no end in sight. Will we have to wait five years for another one? Just call Ms. Atkins the Jeremy Lin of the record industry. (2/16p)

LOL at the Jeremy Lin comparison!

I wonder if "19" will also get a higher peak in next week's sales. It's been top 5 on iTunes so hopefully a top 5 overall too?

650K...maybe more???. wtf....crazier than crazy!!!. so pleased for her! .

To be honest, I love Adele and 21, but even I cant understand how its still selling so much. Im pleased as punch for her, but it really is verging on what I would have said was impossible a year ago, considering the general state of the albums industry.

I remember a guy on DS predicting(when 21 was released in the states) 3 million sales of 21 in the US, IN ITS LIFETIME!, and everyone else, including Adele fans said he was being ridiculously over optimistic.!.

Now she's gone and sold over 7 million over there in a year!
