February 15, 201214 yr '21' more than quadrupling its sales on this point last week because of the Grammys - geesh :o Well, it did only sell 17.5k last week... I assumed she'd be doing "Price Tag" anyway but do you really expect the song to suddenly more than double its week-on-week sales to 50% higher than it sold either week at #1? If Adele's looking at selling 50k-ish this week then Lana's clearly stopped falling anywhere near as sharply as I expected. Very promising.

I certainly thought it'd be behind Gotye at this point at least. It could even be back at #2 by the end of the week, 3k isn't a big gap to close (although the Grammy effect will die off over the week so the gap could just as easily get bigger). Great to see '19' back to just outside the top 10 and sales more than tripling on the week as well, hopefully back in the top 10 next week from the BRITs effect :D A 30% increase on the week for Somebody That I Used To Know is very promising, it only needs an increase of a bit over 20% for the whole week to top 100k. Looking almost certain to surpass the sales at #3 that Lou Monte had on Xmas week 2011 anyway, but it'd be unbelievable if all of the top 3 sold six figures this week, would probably be the first time that's happened since the late 90s? And to think that just a few weeks ago people were saying singles sales at the top end of the chart were so low!

The majority of her fans will surely be of an age that prefer physical music formats, so will wait for re-stock, rather than downloading.
