February 16, 201214 yr Wow, Adele sure has been in the top for a very long time. When she first charted with "21" I still didn't have any chest hair.

February 16, 201214 yr As far as I'm aware that is a German only release Mullo, it can't be, in Germany singles are released on a Friday, and the statement clearly says: "But don't worry, we can expect the single to hit the stores on March 5th in the countries where CDs are released on Mondays." So it is about more countries anyway, that doesn't mean though that the UK gets a physical release but it doesn't it won't either. Ps: look at this one, although it doesn't say if it's an import or not: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Give-Me-All-Your-L...525&sr=8-19
February 16, 201214 yr I thought Whitney would be higher with 'Greatest hits' and I thought 'Ulimate collection' would be there :( Is it that shops just dont have enough stock? Maybe next week they will both climb  I do think Leona could maybe be close to the next Whitney if it wasn't for the evil Simon Cowell  RIP Whitney Houston
February 16, 201214 yr 'The Ultimate Collection' isn't eligible for the main albums chart at the moment. It'll be #1 by a huge margin on the budget albums chart.
February 16, 201214 yr Incidently if the top 3 sell over 100k each (as some suggest) then it will be the first time since 27.12.03 that such a feat has been achieved! ;)
February 16, 201214 yr Incidently if the top 3 sell over 100k wach (as some suggest) then it will be the first time since 27.12.03 that such a feat has been acheived! ;) And it was only four years earlier that Whitney was #3 (with It's Not Right But It's Okay) in a top 3 which all sold - well in excess of - 100k. Not sure, though, if the #4 track that week passed 100k...
February 17, 201214 yr Incidently if the top 3 sell over 100k each (as some suggest) then it will be the first time since 27.12.03 that such a feat has been achieved! ;) Thanks for that - my records don't go back that far.
February 17, 201214 yr Who was the top 3 then - the darkness Gary Jules and Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne? Indeed so.
February 17, 201214 yr Indeed so. I'm astonished those three sold 100 copies, never mind 100 thousand!
February 17, 201214 yr I loved both the darkness and Gary Jules - 2 xmas classics!! Same here, shame about Ozzy & Kelly.
February 17, 201214 yr Author Midweek Charts: Sande nearing 100,000 sales Source: MW 11:55 | Friday February 17, 2012 By Paul Williams Emeli Sande looks increasingly like emulating Lana Del Rey by becoming the second artist in the UK this year to open with more than 100,000 sales of a debut album. Sande’s newly-issued Virgin release Our Version Of Events had sold around 85,000 copies up to the end of business on Thursday, according to the Official Charts Company, as it heads to number one this coming Sunday. Just a fortnight ago Del Rey’s own debut Born To Die entered at number one with 116,745 sales, making it the first album this year to sell more than 100,000 copies in a week. Having remained at number one last Sunday, it is the second biggest seller ithis week so far, although Adele’s Grammy-winning XL album 21 is not far behind in third place. Island act Gotye’s Making Mirrors is currently a new entry at four, while the Sony-issued The Greatest Hits by Whitney Houston is back at number seven in the wake of her death last weekend. A number of Houston’s tracks are also showing up on the midweek singles chart, although none is likely to be in the Top 10 come Sunday. The Bodyguard ballad I Will Always Love You is presently the highest placed, at number 12. Ministry of Sound act DJ Fresh was around 7,000 sales short of breaking the 100,000 mark by the end of Thursday with Hot Right Now, which should debut at number one this Sunday. It features Rita Ora. The week’s second-biggest single is also attracting high sales with Virgin act Emeli Sande’s Next To Me having sold 73,000 copies up to close of play on Thursday. After climbing to one last Sunday, Island’s Gotye featuring Kimbra single Somebody That I Used To Know is at present the third best seller of the week, while the Positiva/Virgin-issued Titanium by David Guetta featuring Sia drops 2-4 and Atlantic act Flo Rida’s Wild Ones also featuring the same act climbs 6-5. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Friday Update Top 40 Only Singles 1 DJ Fresh/Rita Ora [93k] 2 Emeli Sande [73k] 3 Gotye/Kimbra 4 David Guetta/Sia 5 Flo Rida/Sia Top 10 9 One Direction Top 15 12 Whitney [i Will Always...] Top 20 16 Whitney [i Wanna Dance...] 20 Nicki Minaj Top 30 24 Lil' Wayne/Bruno Mars Charlene Soraia Top 40 31 Rebecca Emeli Sande [Heaven] 39 Whitney [One Moment...] Adele [Rolling In...] ?? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Albums 1 Emeli Sande [85k] 2 Lana Del Rey 3 Adele 4 Gotye 5 Ed Sheeran Top 10 Whitney [GHs] 9 Adele [19] Rebecca Ferguson Top 15 One Direction Bruno Mars Top 30 Kelly Clarkson Ben Howard 26 Rihanna Katy Perry 29 Beyonce Rihanna [Loud] Top 40 31 Will Young Michael Buble Frank Sinatra 38 Nicki Minaj NO SALES INFO ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ARTIST UPDATES Singles Jessie J 5+1 Cover Drive 5+5 Kelly Clarkson 10+4 Lana Del Rey [bTD] 10+5, [VG] 10+8 Pixie Lott 20+7 Olly Murs 20+8 Rihanna/Calvin 30+4 Beyonce 30+8 Albums Jessie J 5+3 Olly Murs 10+6 Amy Winehouse 10+8 Florence 20+2 Lady Gaga 30+5 Christina Perri 30+6

February 17, 201214 yr I loved both the darkness and Gary Jules - 2 xmas classics!! I agree. It's only the Ozzy/Kelly song I don't like out of those three. So boring (imo).
February 17, 201214 yr I loved both the darkness and Gary Jules - 2 xmas classics!! Ah, but are you old enough to remember Tear For Fears original of 'Mad World'?
