So much better than the dull 'Climax'

Give me a generic club banger any day, and you can guarantee I'll cream over it. I'm so mainstream :(

It's not as if that's completely R&B so I don't see why it can't just be the next single and "Scream" is demoted to promo single...
Wow. That's boring as hell. Scream might be uninspired but at least it's not an insomnia remedy.

He's doing a Live Lounge Special next Wednesday, featuring 5 songs and a cover (as it usually goes). It'll be interesting to see which of his "old school" songs he does, as he's the first artist with a considerable back catalogue to do one!

Also, I've heard the 30-second preview clips of all the songs on Usher's new album!! There's some songs which sound BRILLIANT on there! I'm so excited to hear the full thing.

Scream is probably the worst song on there to be honest. I don't know why it's a main single at all. He has two collaborations with Swedish House Mafia on there, which are both much better, and just as pop-friendly.

He has a David Guetta collaboration on there, which sounds a bit disco-ish. It's nothing like Without You though, and it's co-produced by Afrojack (who did the beat to Run the World by Beyonce, Look At Me Now by Chris Brown and obviously Give Me Everything), who also collaborated with David Guetta on I Just Wanna F, and the song is more in that direction.

The will.i.am song sounds dope too. It's nothing like OMG (apart from autotune again lol).

What Happened to U sounds awesome. Quite similar to Drake or The Weeknd.

I Care 4 U, Show Me and Twisted all sound brilliant on first impressions too. Most of the album does tbh. I can't wait to hear it all.

With regards to Usher's Live Lounge, I hope he AT LEAST does Burn. He probably won't want to do such an obvious choice though, be he needs to remind people of that amazing song imo.

Loving 'Loojking 4 Myself' so much, the only song I don't really like is 'Scream'.

'Sins of my Father', 'Lessons for the Lover', 'What Happened to U', 'Euphoria' and 'Lemme See' I'm loving especially.

So glad it's not all club bangers.

Euphoria is absolutely AMAZING, best thing he's ever done for me.

Not as good as the Loreen song of the same name AT ALL (had to slip that in :P) but my christ I didn't think he was capable of such a great song! I'm not a fan at all, but it's made me want to listen to the album, as I quite liked Climax too.

'Scream' is such a nonevent. I really dislike it, such a step down from 'Climax' too ... downloading his album now though as I had high hopes with 'Climax', hope it's more of that and less of generic nonevents such as 'Scream'.

Yeah, it's definitely more in the direction of Climax.

The main two other dance songs on there are both Swedish House Mafia produced. They're actually quite good, but I now I just hope he doesn't use them as singles 3 and 4. :drama:

Even the David Guetta song on there isn't THAT generic at all.

UPTOWN GIRL? REALLY? My oh my, 5 tracks in and Climax is the only good song, although I fear Scream will grow on me the more it gets played everywhere.
Lemme See is EASILY the best track on the album for me. Infact, I think its the best thing he's done in years. Other than that, I can't say I'll even give the rest a second listen. Very disappointing.

Shite album.

There are a few songs with potentially good beats but ruined by terrible melodies and lyrics (Sins Of My Father). The only songs worth repeating are Climax, Euphoria and Lemme See, maybe Scream at a push.

I love it. It's a weird song to sample, but it works imo.

Scream, I don't think can grow on me. It's just not Usher.

^^ No, it's out tomorrow - that's odd :/

Scream is REALLY growing on me :( Euphoria is still EASILY the best track though!

'Euphoria' and 'Numb' are AMAZING. Why he released the dull as f*** 'Scream' over them I'll never know.

"Lemme See" video:

I saw an advert for the album yesterday which said 'featuring the singles "Climax", "Lemme See" and "Scream"', so I'm guessing it's also the third UK single.

Edited by THEO.

Lemme See, I HOPE is the next UK single. I won't get my hopes up though.

I'm not even sure it'll be a proper single in the US. I mean, it was a promo single, and so far it's only been sent to urban radio. Scream is still climbing, so I can see them not releasing Lemme See. But they maybe will because they might want to improve his album sales.

The music video is great though. If it does become a proper single, I think it'll be a top 10 hit in both the UK and the US.
