Looks like Alexandra Burke has been snubbed! Can't see Elephant doing anything big tbh.

Ouch for Madonna, considering M.I.A's new solo single has been playlisted...

Can't say I massively care for any of the additions.

Im not surprised, the song is atrocious. If it weren't such auto tuned crap it would be tolerable

:w00t: for Chiddy Bang, Dot Rotton, Nero, Jay-Z/Kanye, Tinchy Stryder, Lil Wayne, M.I.A. and Rihanna.

I really hope Talk That Talk can be a top 10 hit, although I'll be happy with top 20 after how You Da One performed.

Labrinth's song has grown on me a little bit, but I still think it's quite poor compared to what we know he's usually capable of.

Sad to see Alyssa Reid, Lana Del Rey, Maverick Sabre, Rihanna and Jess Mills gone, but they've had their time I guess. Good to see Pitbull gone. I was disappointed when they playlisted the song in the first place, but iirc it was just C-List for a couple of weeks. Hopefully they don't playlist him again until he releases something non-generic. It's a shame about Kelly Clarkson, as I think the song still has a lot left in it.

I agree. I was never expecting Radio 1 to playlist it. But on radio stations overall, it seems to be practically nowhere. It won't chart high with such little promotion.

Great to see Labrinth, Lil Wayne, M.I.A., Michael Kiwanuka and Nervo being added :D Thank God M.I.A. has been playlisted after all although it's not looking good for Madonna to be playlisted. Hopefully 'Bad Girls' can become a top 40 hit at least. I really like the Nervo song and it's the first time I've been aware of a Steve Aoki-affiliated song before it being playlisted

Also great to see Chiddy Bang, Coldplay and Nadia Ali up to the A-List + Nero and Jay-Z/Kanye West up to B :cheer:

Just Googled Edith Nylon (on the 1-Upfront list), and they're apparently a French rock act from the 70s. Whaaaat Radio 1?

Nice to see M.I.A getting the nod then, also Mirror and Talk That Talk.

Strange about We're All No One, it's been around for ages, it's not bad, but I thought its chances of being a hit were long over. Then again, I thought the same about Midnight City.

THANK GOD for M.I.A! I don't even curr about Madge being snubbed now, although if they'd added M.I.A last week it would have been far better but whatever. Beggers can't be choosers etc etc. Hopefully they A-list it and for a good long while too. Top 40 hit here we come! :cheer:

Sorry I'm stanning out but it's just great.

The 'Whaaaat?' is directed at Euphorique - 'Tenderly' is by Disclosure. Where the hell did 'Edith Nylon' come from?

Oh! I was going to say...

Although I reckon it might be Radio 1's fault after all, looking at the playlist page on their website, they have the Jay-Z and Kanye song listed as Screamin' Jay Hawkins  Perhaps they just put any old name in to start with and rectify the errors later.

Ooh, "Gold On The Ceiling" listed. Slightly inevitable after "Lonely Boy" got such great backing but I'm hoping the former can become a hit.

Dont blame things on me if R1 fvck things up. They've changed the Edith Nylon thing now, but they also made a mistake with the Jay-Z song too, its just I spotted that one since it would be too weird for another song called Paris to be added straight to the B-list, and for Jay-Z to drop out after 1 week.
SWY was snubbed and did well! I will refuse to believe this will do bad >:(

Start Without You had good airplay on most other big stations though, most notably Heart and Capital. This song doesn't yet, and it's only a few weeks until it's released now.

I love Capital Fm, The top trending topic was CapitalplayElephant and they still refused to play it.

If they're not playing it, perhaps they haven't actually got the song? I can't see any other reason why they wouldn't play it.

Is this the first single by Snow Patrol not to go into the alist? Thought they would have taken out Skrillex or M83 rather than Lana Del Rey whos no1 in the album chart!

Great to see Maccabees, Black Keys and Michale Kiwinuka playlisted - saw Kiwinuka last friday - was brillant live - a great voice! Why clist Mirrors when its top 20 already, why not just fire it straight into the a/b list and take a risk!!

I've heard it on a couple of local stations around here, and Kiss have been playing it, so I would think Capital have it. It's probably on low rotation at the moment or they'll leave it to closer to the release date.

It's bizzare Radio 1 have snubbed it given that they had the first play of it on Pete Tong's show

Also can't help but notice they're snubbing the Red Hot Chili Peppers new song. Even though the album hasn't performed well, they've still playlisted the other singles from it. Happy for Coldplay going on the A List, I hope CB gives them another Top 10 hit.
