But with Robbie Williams, most people would have owned most of the tracks already, given that each of his albums have sold about 10,000,000 copies each (bar Rudebox, which has sold approximately 17).

If Adele does Turning Tables tonight-might that challenge for No 1 on Sunday?

People are massively overestimating Adele tonight I reckon. 21 will likely go back to #1 but if she performs something new the best she's going to get is top 20 I reckon. She's sold 4 million copies of 21 and Turning Tables (which is the most chart friendly thing she could perform) has been hanging around iTunes for ages now so it must have sold a decent amount too. Rumour Has It doesn't really work live either.

I can't see anything other than Song 2 and maybe Parklife getting a boost from tonight. Would love them to bag a #1 from this, but I think that's just fantasy. My current top 5 would be:

01. The Universal

02. Beetlebum

03. This Is A Low

04. Out Of Time

05. Tender

PS expect Gotye to remain #1 till the weekend, when someone with the Brits effect may take him. Emeli and Adele will comfortably be top 2 albums I imagine.

21 will obviously get a boost but her singles probably not so much, not enough for top ten anyway.

This Is A Low is a tear-jerker. They should perform it but they have only 11 minutes I know they won't.

I have the Hyde Park dvd and I've never watched any music dvd as many times as I've watched that one. Perfection!

My Blur favourites;

1. Song 2

2. There's No Other Way

3. End Of A Century

4. Parklife

5. To The End

I already have the Best Of... so won't be buying it again. From memory, that album under-performed (as far as I was concerned, compared with my expectations of what it deserved), so I hope it makes a return to the top 10.

As you've pointed out, a lot of the Brit Award's audience would be unfamiliar with much of Blur's output, and they've sold nowhere near as many records as Robbie (I don't even think "Parklife", their biggest selling album, has broken through the million mark, but correct me if I'm wrong) therefore more people seem likely to go out and download their songs.

It didn't really underperform I suppose, it passed the million mark in 2008, MW confirmed it when it did. Dunno if that makes its their biggest selling, suppose parklife is the other big contender. They are really good but really why now? No recent output they should have got it years ago or not at all seems slight barrel scraping although they are brill

Best of... sold 1,005,000 copies to the end of 2009, whilst "Parklife" had sold 1,260,000 to the end of the 90s so I'd be relatively sure that it's still ahead (although that PL total is calculated on the sales of the time so may be revised down :( )

Well I hope Best of... doesn't get a boost now after their dreadful performance on the BRITs.

I liked it! Though it got ropey later on ITV2...

Can't believe they told Adele to pipe down! Thought she'd win everything and we'd get a big medley performance! Hope she can take 21 to the top for a 21st week this week ;)

They better not revise Parklife down to below a million :(

I suspect you'll find out on Sunday :o Though as it was a 94 release (the year with the biggest recalculation down) you'd better prepare yourself!

Having said that sales since 1999 will have increased its haul. :D

Gahh! Fingers crossed for me!

Out of interest, what are Radiohead's Ok Computer sales? Would they be revised down too?

(these are my fave 2 albums ever so I am interested!)

No, all sales from 1997 onwards should be unaltered as the charts were then on DUS (defined universe sales) 94-96 is the period mainly covered by the "revision". :)

Its sales were 980k in the 90s only.

Song 2 has two versions in the 70s on iTunes so far and Parklife has a version in the 80s and another in the 120s. Both should go top 100 this week then (Song 2 maybe top 75), maybe Girls & Boys too (2 versions top 150). I slightly underestimated them then, but still I doubt they'll have anything in the top 40.

Ah! Thanks Barry - so OK Computer well over a million I expect then :D

Blur will no doubt benefit from a big boost in album sales. Adele, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay will get big boost as well. Emeli Sandé and Lana Del Rey should keep up their sales fairly well too.

It's just a shame that Tender and This Is A Low (easily their best performances on the night) were relegated to ITV2.

Oh dear Parklife sounded awful.. But in general, Blur are better in live doing slower anthemic songs such as Beetlebum and Tender.

Whats the full story with Sunday's chart - is it live from the studio or something - is Reggie still the official presenter?

The biggest boosts album wise are for Adele, Ed, Florence & Coldplay. Also been great for Blur, Noel, Rihanna, Lana & Bruno.

Its also slightly boosted Olly & One Direction.

Sadly yes. Basically it's the same but there will be live streaming of the top 10 on the website with music videos every week
