February 24, 201214 yr Adele was 9000 behind on wednesday, now shes only 600?, 8400 catch up in 2 days. 21 is a cert for number one come Sunday!.
February 24, 201214 yr Adele doesn't need number 1 anymore, Emeli Sande does. Is there really nothing else in music charts at the moment that can challenge an album that has been out for a year? If so then im speechless. She has had her time at number 1 now lets move into 2012 and support new music
February 24, 201214 yr Looks like Adele is going to continue her domination of the album chart. I'd prefer Emeli Sande to remain at the top but it doesnt surprise me. Adele has received a lot of publicity during the week in the press in connection with the Brits, which will no doubt help her record sales.

What difference does it make if she is number 1 for one week or two? As long as her album keeps selling well, which I have no doubt it will, then there's no problem.
February 24, 201214 yr Midweek Charts: Adele's 21 on verge of 4 million UK sales Source: MW 10:57 | Friday February 24, 2012 By Paul Williams while Polydor act Lana Del Rey’s Born To Die falls 2-4 with a 43% sales slide, despite her own Brits win for best international newcomer Why?
February 24, 201214 yr Adele (and Emeli) have sold ~40,000 each so far this week, from the sales given for Adele.
February 24, 201214 yr Why? its merely bigger BRITs winners just overshadowing her a bit, nothing particularly disastrous Edited February 24, 201214 yr by C.W
February 24, 201214 yr The sales gains from the BRITs don't really look particularly big to be honest... the fact some of them are actually DECREASING even with a BRITs performance/win is quite concerning. I suppose it could change by Sunday though. I really hope Adele can close the last 600 and return to #1. RITD and SLY in the top 30 :D Hopefully SFTTR will be top 40 this week as well, can't imagine it's too far outside currently. Great to see The A Team should return to the top 40 and Lego House to the top 20 + a new peak for Drunk :cheer: Also fantastic to see Charlie Brown in the top 40 :cheer: No Niggas In Paris yet, although I'm sure it'll easily be top 40 next week even if it doesn't quite make it in this week. And woo at Chase & Status' album climbing again, should hopefully pass the 500k mark this week :D Edited February 24, 201214 yr by Bré
February 24, 201214 yr I'm not sure I believe those figures to be honest. Noel and Bruno both decreased sales despite being 11 & 12 this Friday compared to 14 & 15 last Friday?! Awful sales if so! :o
February 24, 201214 yr But she was a BRITs winner. true, but others had a more successful night and gained more sales - which is what I meant by 'bigger' :P
February 24, 201214 yr That is simply incredible for Adele, 21st Week #1 yes please! 4million! :w00t: Hope Flo can stay at #10 in album chart! Also want No Light No Light top 40 but i think it may miss out :( Glad Charlie Brown is finally in top 40 though! :dancing:

Be a bit more rebellious and petulant with your taste, young man. :D
February 24, 201214 yr Author No Niggas In Paris yet, although I'm sure it'll easily be top 40 next week even if it doesn't quite make it in this week. That could be top 40 actually as we only have Top 39 singles and albums for today, Gotye is listed twice on the database.
February 24, 201214 yr you first paragraph reads like the opinion of a 30-something middle manager with a slight chart obsession. Be a bit more rebellious and petulant with your taste, young man. :D Well I do have a 'slight chart obsession' to be fair :P I just expected the BRITs to boost album sales a bit more than they have.
February 24, 201214 yr It was your music taste that I was comparing to that of a 30-year old.... :D You're being a bit selective just looking at the first paragraph in that case, I wouldn't really consider Chase & Status and Jay-Z/Kanye West stereotypical 30-year-old fodder
February 24, 201214 yr its merely bigger BRITs winners just overshadowing her a bit, nothing particularly disastrous I was referring to the '43% sales slide', rather than the drop in position.
