February 26, 201214 yr Kelly Clarkson back down to #34 on the albums already. :( I hate albums that follow the "peak top ten, plummet, climb into the top 40 for a few weeks, fall back down, out of the chart" formula, and it looks like Stronger is going the same way. :(
February 26, 201214 yr Great to see Blur back in the chart even though their live performance at the brits was a bit disapointing, Im Disapointed with Snow Patrol dropping 16 places to #46 but hopefully it can rebound next week, goo dto see matt cardle still top 75 and climbing in the albums amazing deserved far better than number 84 but at least it has made the top 100 this week. Shame that Dodgy's comeback album just missed out on the top 75, in that respect #76 is a horrible number top land on as it misses out making the chart records etc. Edited February 26, 201214 yr by Aphrodite
February 28, 201214 yr Author Top 100 singles updated - sorry for the delay. I'll try and update the top 100 albums by tomorrow. Some pointless and unrelated comments on the top 100: 'Lonely Boy' by The Black Keys is incredibly resilient for its peak, this being its seventh top 100 week despite not going higher than #80 so far - could get an eighth week this week looking at iTunes as well. Chase & Status feat. Delilah's 'Time' has been #85 for the last three weeks. Always odd when such things happen. Very strange that Matt Cardle has peaked 101 places higher with 'Amazing' than with 'Starlight' considering Starlight was like a fan favourite of the album! I haven't heard 'Amazing' anywhere eitehr while I saw the video for 'Starlight' quite a bit at the time. Equally strange that Kasabian's 'Goodbye Kiss' has peaked 17 places higher than 'Re-Wired' when again I haven't heard the former once while I heard the latter quite a lot (it was on an advert I think?) But then 'Goodbye Kiss' was 59p on iTunes during the week which probably explains that. Didn't know until just now when I looked it up that 'Parklife' (the song) is a collaboration! If I wasn't so skeptical of these things poor Phil Daniels would go without his well-earned mention in this thread  'Gold Digger' has managed to go higher than the last time it was reduced to 59p (#73 last time) :D Hopefully it'll climb more this week. 'No Light, No Light' has had 3 non-consecutive weeks in the top 75, re-peaking each time - it entered at 67, dropped out, re-entered at a new peak of 63, dropped out again and has now re-entered at another new peak of 50. Will it drop out again this week to continue the pattern? Great to see it becoming another top 50 single for them and in one fell swoop going from their lowest peaking single to only their fifth lowest peaking single. Finally, very annoying to see 'Set Fire To The Rain' frustratingly close to re-entering the top 40 again but just missing out :(
March 1, 201214 yr does anyone know the reason for the renewed interest in Wilson Phillips' Hold On? It's over 20 years old!
March 1, 201214 yr Dancing on Ice as far as i can recall used Wilson Philips Hold on, on the show. Oh, ta! don't watch the show so didn't know that! Just wondering, though - how do you dance to Hold On!
