The fact that she's filming the Where Have You Been video doesn't mean they're cancelling the other singles or whatever. They'll probably carry on promoting Talk That Talk and Birthday Cake (and Take Care) for a while, and when those songs and We Found Love die down they'll send Where Have You Been to radio. They should hopefully have the music video completed in a few weeks now that they've finished fliming it, so they can release it at strategically the best time.

 

I could see Where Have You Been being a summer anthem tbh, if they promote it at the right time. Not sure if it'll get #1, as Gotye will probably be dominating the Hot 100 by then.

I think the idea is... their waiting for all the collaborations to die down, and then they'll release "Where Have You Been" as the summer single.

She's tweeted several times about a video for the song.

I stand corrected then! But still, there is no reason for the video to be out.

She finished shooting ages ago so she could release it right now, but the timing would hardly be apt seeing as it hasn't been sent to radio etc. and she hasn't started promoting it, so not many people actually know it's the next single yet.

It gets sent to US Radio the first week of May. Their counting on this to be a huge summer smash.
