Why wasn't this released when it went to #1 on the US iTunes?

Yeah, probably could've made top 20 at least if it was released last summer I think. There was a lot of Internet hype at the time.

Well, this is pretty bad. Her voice sounds really gravelly. Not as bad as that 'La La Land' abomination.

Ah, Paradise - much better ^_^

Edited by Engelbré

That's pushing it, but considering she's been in the charts twice already since he has been doing it, you'd think he'd know better.

You make the mistake of thinking he takes any notice of the chart.

Just realised Skyscraper is co-written by Kerli Koiv, the Esonian singer who was on the Alice In Wonderland soundtrack and I sent to BJSC
Such a shame that this will be the peak for 'Skyscrapper', was one of my favourite songs of 2011 (despite the awful high note near the end )

That WAS awful

You make the mistake of thinking he takes any notice of the chart.

True. I did like how he said "is it wrong that I look forward to Sundays now?" :manson:

7 new entries?!

32 Skyscraper - Demi Lovato

xx What Can You Do For Me - Utah Saints vs. Drumsound & Bassline

xx Twenty Seven Million - Matt Redman & LZ7

xx R U Mine? - Arctic Monkeys

xx Icarus - Madeon

xx Ray Charles - Chiddy Bang

xx Rockstar - Dappy & Brian May

Can't see any of these sticking around for long - 'Skyscraper' and 'Twenty Seven Million' will be one-weekers, 'R U Mine?' and 'What Can You Do For Me' two perhaps, and then 'Icarus' and 'Ray Charles' are all dependent on whether R1 continue supporting them. 'Rockstar', well... er.

Rockstar might spend the longest in the top 40 of all those songs.

I think Icarus could have longer though.

He's hot? :kink:

Unlikely  I think it will be Ray Charles that's the longest runner.

This song needs to be brought back to 99p on iTunes and disappear from the Top 40 forever.

The current iTunes positions of the 7 new entries:

10 Dappy

21 & 95 & 248 Chiddy Bang

29 Arctic Monkeys

33 Madeon

38 Matt Redman

42 Utah Saints

53 Demi Lovato

I agree with Tom Kay that Ray Charles will last the longest of these, it has the same sort of lasting appeal as Lloyd's song.

Well, it's possible. I can see it spending 3 weeks in the top 40, which most of those songs (even Ray Charles) might not manage. I like Ray Charles a lot, but we all know that's not what the UK public like atm.

I really liked Ed Sheeran's live performance of this at the BRITS - but this song got boring for me ages ago -_- Great to see Utah Saints making the top 30
