How come rappers are allowed to use racist lyrics, but if a white artist tried it, they'd have a SWAT team at their door in 2 minutes!

Because they're black, and it's not insulting for them to call each other it? It's down to discretion, racism is an ideology and it's hardly like they're trying to assert some kind of inferiority.

Not all rappers are black.

He's referring to Jay-Z and Kanye, obviously.

Tyga up to #30!!! :w00t:

And impressed to see Tinchy and Dappy are still in the same positions as yesterday. Can't be much longer until they fall though.

02. Nicki Minaj - Starships

05. Tinchy Stryder & Pixie Lott - Bright Lights

07. Stooshie - Love Me

35. Azealia Banks - 212

36. Demi Lovato - Skyscraper :cheer: Second Week top 40 please!

37. M.I.A - Bad Girls

39. Taio Cruz & Flo Rida - Hangover

67. Tracy Chapman - Fast Car

Flo Rida could have two songs in the top 10 again in a few days. :drama: His 3rd top 10 hit of the year, and it's only March.
How the hell is Take Care still hanging around in the top 40 on iTunes, i hardly hear it anywhere on the radio it was used on Eastenders and then the Eastenders Twitter tweeted about it, so that could have helped it, but i thought it would be long gone by now

356. Glee Cast - We Are Young

The original version of this song has just got to #1 in the Hot 100 apparently!! The first alternative song to get to #1 since 2008.

Rihanna was on TV in the weekend, so that probably boosted it a bit aswell.

Why 'apparently'? It definitely has, as confirmed on billboard.com... :P

I wonder when the last time there were 2 different 'alternative' songs as the US and UK #1s was? I think Viva La Vida's single at #1 in the US coincided with its single week at #1 in the UK but I can never tell with the US chart's confusing date system.

 15. Ni**as in Paris - JAY Z & Kanye West

 105. Ni**as in Paris - JAY Z & Kanye West

This just doesn't stop climbing (well, except at the weekends when it does stop climbing :kink:), could it even go top 10 at this rate? :o

If it wasn't with Viva La Vida, it could've possibly been a very long time ago. I think the last alternative #1 before Viva La Vida was How You Remind Me by Nickelback in 2002?

Or does country music count as alternative?

We Are Young is one of my favorite Glee Songs tbh!

Anyway, it's looking likely Dappy will re-enter the top 10 on iTunes with Marcus Collins looking likely of dropping out of the top 10, It should end up around #9-10 Come Sunday but will no doubt be the lowest charting of of himself/Tinchy/Stooshe.

I have a horrible feeling that Dappy will randomly go into freefall again, or that Taio Cruz is going to get to #11 by the time Marcus falls out. :(

20 [20] (0.1660) will.i.am (ft. Mick Jagger and Jennifer Lopez) - T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)

Assuming Nicki is on course to increase sales again (it'd be a bit strange if she decreased climbing from 5 to 2/3) iTunes indicates Gotye could do another 75-85k. Showing incredibly stable sales so far, I definitely think this will hit a million.
How did the charts company calculate Dot Rotten - Are you not entertained to be number 32 on the official chart when he is doing shit on the itunes chart and the song is only out as a download

New releases always seem to be a bit higher than iTunes suggests in the mid-weeks I've noticed. Some of them have EPs and remixes, although I'm not sure if Dot Rotten does.
