Lee sees what he wants to see, he has been hoping Elephant would barely scrape the Top 10.

No, it's not comfortably in the top 5, Infact I expect it to drop out of the top 7 on iTunes come Thursday Night - Friday Morning. I always said I believe Elephant would debut/peak at #06 and I think it may be #07! As I said it will be incredibly front loaded and would surprise me if it had two weeks in the top 10.

Edit: I don't think it has a chance of remaining top 10 next week, no doubt Jls & Katy Perry will help contribute knocking it out of the top 10.

Regarding Leona Lewis performing Collide on Red Or Black, that's all the promotion she had, her airplay wasn't good in the slightest either tbh and Alexandra Burke has been on multiple shows promoting, Red Or Black got more or less the same viewers as Lets Dance, so lets not use that as an excuse.

Have there been any noticeable changes in the top 50 in the past 12 hours?

Nope, it seems as if iTunes has crashed. I was also expecting a new batch of 59p songs to be released today aswell!

We're all assuming that Alex has plateaud though. For all we know she's actually pulling further and further away from the rest of the field and is actually on the verge of overtaking Flo (and maybe Emeli). I think it's impossible for any of us to expect where she will end up this week and what happens next week is entirely down to whether Capital picks it up to be honest.

And I have to laugh at the iTunes crash. If it doesn't get sorted soon Dappy's chartrun will probably end up like 2-13-64-33 or something haha.

Hmm, most likely crashed or just a REALLY slow chart this week.

No, i assume Alexandra is still pulling away to be honest, It's not until tomorrow that I believe she will start plummeting. I heavily doubt Capital will pick up on Elephant, some Dj's have refused to play it, while others have played it.

Last Month, The top Twitter trend was "CapitalPlayElephant" And Rich's still refused to play it, I must admit though the song is growing on me.

Well to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised to see iTunes having problems, Kworb & Live Pop Bars have also f*cked up.
I still reckon if she's comfortably top 5 and at this stage and is likely not finished pulling away from the field (speculation but likely I reckon) then it should take a fair while for everything below to eat into her lead, especially as the songs closest to her (Titanium + Hot Right Now) are both on the decline. I think she should last at #5 for a good long while but after that there might be a bunch of songs close to her and she could fall quickly. It'll be like what Bright Lights did this week I think. Held up really well until the weekend.

I agree fully with The Bright Lights comparison, although fortunatly for Bright Lights there was only one new entry into the top 10 this week, next week we have three number one contenders in Katy Perry - Part Of Me, Jls - Proud & Labrinth - Last Time, all that will enter the top 10 on iTunes, I can see Alexandra Burke easily dropping out of the top 10 on iTunes come sunday, unfortunatly.

I miss LivePopBars, it would be so much easier to tell.

For anyone interested, Labrinth is giving away an album track 'Climb On Board' (track #1) for FREE on Amazon.co.uk (not iTunes though). It's more 'Last Time' than 'Let the Sun Shine' + 'Earthquake', so I'm hoping the whole album doesn't follow suit, although great tracks, I'd prefer to have him celebrated as a singer too, something 'Let the Sun Shine' is perfect for; although we've got the Emeli Sande collaboration to look forward to as well.

Back to iTunes, Alexandra Burke will likely show up as #2/3 in the first update then, falling during the week. Holding back all these songs for so long isn't doing anyone any favours, I imagine Katy Perry's 'Part of Me' will be the next casualty in this respect - another low-peaking top 5 single?

Just bought the four singles from Tyga - hoping it'll contribute towards 'Rack City' finally getting a coveted place in the top 40.

Well obviously because Kworb and Livepop are directly linked to itunes, so they literally just display whats happening in itunes(hefty amounts of coding involved).

Grrr so annoying though, I honestly think that Alex will get top 3, it's been on pre-order for a fair while too so must have racked up a fair few E.P sales.

iTunes has crashed? Hopefully it's Alphabeat's new single that has crashed them and people are rushing to download it in their hundreds and thousands! (Or Loreen's 'Euphoria' has become available ) :kink:
Anyone tweeted Dappy yet to let him know itunes has deleted his tune - i would just to see his reaction!!

Katy Perry is to give an exclusive UK performance of her brand new single on BBC One's Let's Dance For Sport Relief.

254. Call Me Maybe - Hits Now!

I hope this means it can still be a hit once it's released here. They better not leave it a year late like what happened with Demi's 'Skyscraper'!

I think the fact it made the mid-40s when it was briefly released is a pretty good indication it'll be big  Thinking about that, Jason Mraz's song was briefly released a while back and got to like #74 before being deleted so I'm not sure why I'm surprised at it doing well now. (The Wanted's All Time Low was also available for a short period of time before being deleted and re-added later, but it got all the way to the 20s!)

^I swear I saw the main version in the itunes chart a few weeks back before it vanished? has it been deleted?

edit: I see it was then
