Wow! :o You're right. I had no idea. Infact, it's been top 100 since July. I never usually see it that high on iTunes. Maybe multiple versions keep it there combined. It climbed 2 places last week aswell. It's a good song though.

Good to see Tinchy getting higher still. I hope Capital FM starts playing the song more often now. It needs the promo. They could stop playing Read All About It and All About Tonight and move onto this song now.

I literally did not expect Tinchy to make the top 10, the song has literally had not much support, this song is very radio friendly and I expected Capital Fm to eat it up!

A week too late, more of a drop me thinks.

The opposite! That will promote the album nicely just in time for Mothers Day.

Me too. Good that it's doing better than I expected anyway. :) I was honestly expecting it to go like 15-30-45-OUT or something, based on how his previous single did, which I thought would've been bigger.

Yeah, the new LMFAO song is so weird (well, all their songs seem to be ). The main synth that goes through it sounds like someone burping or something. Very peculiar.

6. Bright Lights (feat. Pixie Lott) - Tinchy Stryder (& #64 on album chart)

7. Seven Nation Army - Marcus Collins

10. Love Me (ft Travie McCoy) - Stooshe (& #72 & #21 on album chart)

Should all go low top 10 this week, but Bright Lights may manage top 5 if it keeps climbing.

To Be Honest, whatever Pixie seems to do these days always manage to do well, she's obviously got a good fanbase. Her Album on the otherhand has underachieved, but she's approaching one million sales (album) altogether in the Uk, something many people would only dream about in the UK. Poor What Do You Take Me For ending this album, it deserved to do so much better.

Yeah it's really odd, but even with the album bombing it feels like Pixie is a bigger presence on the singles chart than she's ever been!

It looks like Dot Rotten will miss the top 40 officially. It's a shame, as I really thought he'd make it. He needs Twitter promo NOW!
Gutted none of The Fray songs are making any impact. Wonder if their album will even go top ten this week.
Which songs do you people think will be on Now thats what i call music 81?

Jesus are we on 81 already? Last time I looked it was 36 or something. Actually it's surprising that what with cherry picking these days the compilation market (and NOW in particular) still sells so well, I suppose some folk collect them now.

Marcus is on DOI next week - so will get a bit of a boost for the second week

Sounds more DOA than DOI to me... :P

Wow. Dappy up to #12! :o I thought he'd fall even faster without the top 10 effect.

I would have thought there'd be less 'T10 effect' for songs that leapt straight in there (because they already have plenty of promo), than ones that climb tortuously in?

Maybe. A lot of the songs that climb into the top 10 have been promoted heavily aswell by the time they get there (which is why they get there).

I think it varies due to a lot of things. People who don't listen to Radio 1 probably haven't heard Bright Lights, but I reckon a lot of people would be interested in a new Tinchy Stryder/Pixie Lott song, so maybe that's why that particular song got a good top 10 effect, since it being in the top 10 would be the first time some people might've heard of the song. Whilst some songs like Super Bass, take so long to get into the top 10 that everybody already knows them by the time they get there.
