Hi Megham, just saw your reply,thanks,and from what you say,I definitely think it is suspicious,and I am glad I did not follow the link on the e- mail I received,and as I said,on signing into this forum,it floated right to me- then a second e- mail was sent same msig, and again asking me to follow link- so someone is up to no good. On the subject of Darius's hairstyle, I hope he let's it grow a little bit. There are pictures of him pre-show with fans and his hair is windswept and you can see his natural waves. He suits the more natural look.

Just had radio 1 on and Darius got a mention *.* the two presenters were going to play a song by a celebrity that followed them on Twitter and Matt Edmonson said Darius followed him! A shame he didn't quite plump for 'Colourblind' (they went for Five's 'Keep On Movin' as two of the members follow him :lol:)

Yes I have read on Buzzjack there were quite a few chart hits that didn't get Radio 1 play in 2002-3, but I thought they were mostly the sort of Clubland type dance tracks that were popular at the time from the likes of Scooter and Flip and Fill that were deemed too cheesy. I didn't think Darius didn't get played by them back then also. Although maybe it was a case of the BBC not wanting to promote someone who took part in an ITV talent show? :unsure:

We could be number 1 in the posters chart this week :o :cheer: , although we had a quieter day yesterday with Baytree away and also there a lot of posts on the Dua Lipa forum so that one will also have a chance at being #1. Also me and Baytree will probably be top 10 if not top 5 in the individual posters chart!

I seem to remember that was true of Will and Gareth and the Fame Academy alumni too. Radio 1 had a reputation to protect as the edgy one.

The charts were very good in 2002-3 in general, so much more variety in music genres than today, and pop, dance and alternative/rock were separate sounding and all represented whereas today chart pop and chart dance mash more into one mostly with a lot of chart hits having a similar formula of pitched vocals and zylophone production and there is very little alternative/rock music making the charts.
