There is another thread on here called FYI which gives us stern warning to stop making up silly threats just to keep the forum open otherwise we will shut down. I can't reply on that thread for some reason. I agree we should stop with the silly threads and just stick to things that are rellivent to do otherwise what we didn't want to happen Will happen

That basically means that anyone on the forum who doesn't like this being here can simply start a 'joke' thread and get the forum closed all by themselves.

I am OUTRAGED that all things Darius can't be discussed - that is just moving the goalposts when this forum HAD attracted new members to it - me, Snake, mdna, DanG, etc - and we were active again.

 

But!! If the are SO OBSESSED with replacing this forum, then why don't they just make a sub-forum, like Lounge Events, in the Retro Lounge, password protected if need be, to make it even more community-minded for us, in the Retro Lounge? It stops them from breathing down your necks, you get to keep this forum, they get to replace it with someone trendier, and the compromise is that it just moves from one part of t seet to another? All it takes is a sub-forum elsewhere. What's more!! Said subforum, if management need MORE persuading, even though we are doin our parts to save this forum, could also house all the other depossessed artist forums of old.too!

I actually thought the fanfic was a great way for us to connect and something not done around here usually! And TheSnake's historic threads were some of the most interesting I've seen on BJ in a LONG while.

I am very sorry to everyone here. I didn't just randomly post posts that were 'pointless' (although I liked to contribute a lot and ensure this traditionally quiet forum would undergo a revival after it was proposed to be got rid of for being too quiet) but just wanted to join in the discussion and make the Darius forum a bit more fun. Obviously people elsewhere in the site and some of the moderators didn't find it fun and got annoyed by what they understandably saw as pointless spam.

 

I am sorry if my actions in any way endangered any more the continuation of this forum on Buzzjack. I am very sad that my plan to revive the forum, which I very much wanted to stay on Buzzjack has now backfired. I thought any increased number of posts in this forum were good for this forum and would secure its future on Buzzjack. Obviously I was wrong about that too.

 

To clarify I am a genuine fan of Darius' voice and I loved he still had a forum on Buzzjack.

 

Finally I will still post here on this forum but only about Darius Campbell-Danesh as are the moderators wishes.

Well it looks like the forum might be moved to a subforum of the retro lounge and if it is and the web address is the same it will hopefully continue on quite seamlessly.

 

I said i won't discuss any other Darius I have discussed enough about other Dariuses anyway, and there is nothing more to say about them.

When I said ýou´I mean a plural ýou´as in everyone. :)

Yeah I thought everything this week and the end of last was good fun on here! I think it was a good way to connect, although I can see from an outside perspective how some of the threads could have looked a bit spammy from an outside perspective. No more spammy imo than a lot of them posted on the Lounge though, but maybe artist forums are seen by many in Buzzjack to have less spammy standards than the Lounge!

 

And it was great to be able to have discussions with some of the long running posters on this thread like Baytree, polly and Julia W who I never encountered before on Buzzjack!

Yes if Darius has to go from the artist forums a move to the retro lounge but as a complete sub forum there would be ideal.

 

It shouldn't be password protected though...that would discourage new members/lead to members here already forgetting their password and being locked out. I had made a twitter page for this forum so we could get some new members.

I don't think they were 'silly' threads but it was referring to ones about other Dariuses, username rates or the fan fiction one (which may not be everyones cup of tea but one I really liked and will miss!).

 

You can't reply because the thread was locked. I don't know why, because we are just talking about the same things here that we would have talked about on that thread.

Subforums are never password protected! :lol: They were only protected in Teams so that you couldn't spy on how the other teams were progressing :kink:

Nothing yet sadly, apart from several Buzzjack people following us, but then there hasn't been any activity on Darius' personal twitter page since Aug 9th so maybe if that picks up then ours will.

I don't think any of them were 'joke' threads as much as some of the threads that occasionally get posted in the Lounge (although admittedly the Lounge has less joke threads now than it did a few months ago). The Darius fan fiction one for example was more like a Lounge game than a joke thread I think.
