March 7, 201214 yr I don't think I'd quite say Sean Paul is as big again as he was in 2003. I mean, Got 2 Luv U missed the top 10 (without R1 support TBF though). Hopefully She Doesn't Mind will go top 10 though.
March 7, 201214 yr Author in Europe he's bigger than ever. G2LU and SDM have been absolutely massive. @DJ Gavin: yes, R1 playlisted Flawless
March 7, 201214 yr 8 years ago this flawless song toped singles chart   And to this day it remains as wonderful as ever.
March 7, 201214 yr I don't think I'd quite say Sean Paul is as big again as he was in 2003. I mean, Got 2 Luv U missed the top 10 (without R1 support TBF though). Hopefully She Doesn't Mind will go top 10 though. Yeah, he's nowhere near as big as he was back then. I remember there was a time you'd turn the radio, and it seemed he'd always be on there. But he was never irrelevent imo. It's like saying Lady Gaga is irrelevent now just because she isn't as big as she was in 2009. People didn't just stop listening to Sean Paul's songs for the past however many years. He'll be relevent for a long time, even if he doesn't release anything else.
March 7, 201214 yr Tinchy Stryder featuring Pixie Lott - Bright Lights eventually put up to A-List! :cheer:
March 7, 201214 yr Retro 2004 A-List Blink 182 - 'I Miss You' Deepest Blue - 'Give It Away' Franz Ferdinand - 'Take Me Out' Nelly Furtado - 'Try' Keane - 'Somewhere Only We Know' LMC vs U2 - 'Take Me To The Clouds Above' N*E*R*D - 'She Wants To Move' Outkast - 'The Way You Move' Snow Patrol - 'Run' Britney Spears - 'Toxic'  Sugababes - 'In The Middle' Usher feat Ludacris - 'Yeah' B-List Enrique Iglesias feat Kelis - 'Not In Love' Courtney Love - 'Mono' C-List * Narcotic Thrust - 'I Like It' That playlist is so awful, there are the ones I can say I like.
March 7, 201214 yr they actually playlisted Eamon? that must've sounded awful at the time  (not that the explicit version sounds much better mind...)
March 7, 201214 yr That playlist is so awful, there are the ones I can say I like. Yeah, it pales in comparison to the 2000 and 2003 retro playlists in the previous threads imo. I loved so many songs from those, but from this one there's only really a few amazing songs.
March 8, 201214 yr Wasn't there a time when Sean Paul had the number 1 and 2 songs at the same time? i had a look and i saw him having the #02 and #03 on the same week. ['Breathe' and 'Like Glue' respectively].
March 8, 201214 yr Hah at George Michael being blisted but yes this was his last era being on the radio 1 playlist - Flawless was added but stayed for 4 weeks in the clist. Great to see Sean Paul in the alist and taylor swift and Hooray for Lovers moved up to the clist - great song! The retro shows the rise of indie in 2004 - Run, Take Me Out and Somewhere only we know - seems to be alot of songs on there compared to nowadays! By the way Eric is capital playing Paris too? March 8, 201214 yr Rizzle Kicks new tune is easily their best yet. It's much more easy to listen to than 'Mama Do The Hump' (which is so boring already for me). It's actually got a very chilled and laid back vibe, I can see it shifting alot of albums rather than being a fourth top ten hit, though. Labrinth. :D Plan B. :D (shame this era won't touch the Strickland Bank era in terms of commercial success)
