Not looking so good for Alexandra tomorrow, I think come Sunday morning she will be around #07 on iTunes before dropping out for Katy Perry, Labrinth & Jls.

Is that any worse than, say, 'Snoop Doggy Dogg'? :P

Elephant added to Radio 1's B List

Hopefully should have a better chart run now

Well, a longer run at least - I doubt it'll chart higher than this week.

I found out that Rack City isn't in the top 40 on the mid-weeks. If it doesn't make it this week, I think it'll never make it.

Odd that it isn't there, unless iTunes comprises a smaller share of the market than we thought.

Swidish House Mafia must surely have one of the best chart histories of any dance act so far? Incredible.

Cascada?

Kanye is unlucky with his singles, but what's more shocking is how his last album performed in the UK. It really was criminally ignored!!!

Not unusual for rap albums to under-perform in the UK, though.

553. White Flag - Dido

Any reason why this has re-appeared?

Maybe one play on a popular radio station? I normally reckon on re-entries below #500 as being fairly random, though.

I think Sniffy Dog is actually just a producer, the 'album name' says that it features someone called Adrienne Stiefel.

FFS, Niggas In Paris is down to #12 again being overtaken by Jason <_< I bet Jason will go and overtake Greyhound now and stop it from surviving the new releases of Sunday :( I think Greyhound will need to be at least #6 to be safe from new releases (Katy, Labrinth, JLS and maybe Sean Paul), they should get to #6 very soon but if Jason overtakes them it's a big jump to overtake Alexandra and they'll be falling again by the weekend anyway most likely.

Looks like SHM could push Alex down, at the moment Alex is looking at a top 5 entry, unless SHM gain over the weekend. Gotye is going to match the unbroken #1 run of Lily Allen of 4 weeks back in 2009, I know this is his 5th week with the break.

There hasn't been a consecutive four-weeker since January 2009? :o

Adele?

Unusual when it's an established act (previous #1 album as recently as 2007) with a critically acclaimed (94 on Metacritic) album, though.

Someone Like You, Party Rock Anthem both had 4 consecutive weeks on top - and that's in 2011 only. :P Adele is also on 5 weeks overall, so even *there* Gotye won't match something that happened only during 'The Fear' times.

oops I forgot about LMFAO, its one of those songs I rather forget. :P

It's often the case that rappers release several singles before the parent album - and that's never going to help sales of the latter...

And the original was sang by Malvina Reynolds

Cascada?

I was thinking in terms of unblemished top 10s (or top 20s as the case may be with 'Greyhound'. Cascada had a #46 smash pretty soon into their career.

Oh....didn't think of that  I probably should've noticed the 'featuring...' tag there!

Decidedly different! I can just imagine anti-capitalist protestors singing it... :P

Absolutely outstanding for Swedish House Mafia. How did they manage to rocket into the Top 10 so fast? And when was the last time a song in the Top 10 was a 7 minute instrumental track?

GO AZEALIA THE DREAM IS COMING TRUE

Great for SHM! Wonder how much further it can go? :o
