March 14, 201213 yr I've voted #1! It's looking like it's doing well in the pre-orders, it's very relevant and I think it could be a juggernaut of a track. Plus, it is an awesome song and it should be at least top three :) :D
March 14, 201213 yr I registered a null vote (I bet you thought that 21-40 vote was mine :) ) in order to see the results, as I'm hardly the most impartial judge of rap music. However, I wouldn't have liked this, regardless - I've never been keen on political/social commentary songs, as I use music to *escape* from such issues, not be reminded of them. That's why I prefer upbeat pop and easy-listening songs - Kylie, Katie Melua, Taylor Swift, etc. Edited March 14, 201213 yr by vidcapper

March 14, 201213 yr The vote is about where you *think* it will chart, not where you'd *want* it to chart. Which is partially *why* I registered a null vote. For obvious reasons, I am totally unable to distinguish between a rap song that'll do well, and one that'll bomb - given that factor, I might just as well pick a prediction out of a hat. :P
March 14, 201213 yr ill Manors is out on the 25th of March. I didn't realise it was out so soon... Maybe not number one then, but I still think it'll be really big, I'm hoping near or equal to 'She Said'.
March 14, 201213 yr I'm surprised I'm the only person to have put #1. It's going to be huge, from reaction I've seen it's probably the biggest song amongst young rap fans since 'Pass Out'! Pass Out was a much better song. This song is no where near good enough. Top 30 if its lucky, but with no radio support or TV promo we'll all forget this in a week. Cannot see it having any sort of chart run either and as a Plan B fan myself its a shame. As mentioned at the top the video on youtube has just over 180k views. Not great at all. If young people in the Rap scene want the song I can't see them buying it, they'll just download it from youtube or torrent it as all kids do on the whole. Hopefully he'll learn lessons before he brings out Ballad of Belmarsh
March 14, 201213 yr It only had 70k views when I looked at it last night. Is 180,000 views in 4 days bad for an act who's only properly big(ish) in one country with moderate success in a few others? It doesn't strike me as being that bad, although I'm no expert. It's pre-orders on iTunes have been consistently high too, far better than the new JLS and Labrinth songs.
March 14, 201213 yr This is where he got the instrumental from: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oODT1Evyq9w&feature=fvst It's a sample from Dimitri Shostakovich's Symphony No.7 in C major. That ad just uses the same sample, it's not the origin :P Another song which uses the sample in an admittedly very similar way to 'ill Manors' is 'Alles Neu' by Peter Fox: DD0A2plMSVA I think ill Manors officially does sample 'Alles Neu' though. -x- The pre-order for 'ill Manors' is now inside the top 40 of the iTunes albums chart since the video premiere :o Starting to think maybe it does stand a chance of being a massive hit... March 15, 201213 yr This song is entirely deserving of #1 (never imagined I'd say that about a Plan B song!) and I would love it to top the chart. It's not entirely hard to imagine it getting that high either as it is just going to hoover up sales from the people it is speaking for so easily. But his fanbase aren't going to like it at all are they?
March 15, 201213 yr If this misses the top five and that JLS song goes to #1 i'll actually hang my head in shame at this country.
March 16, 201213 yr Just because a few of your friends talk about the song, it doesn't neccessarily mean it'll do well in the charts. It needs radio airplay, and it's not getting that (yet). I think his fanbase will be able to get it to debut in the top 10, and then it'll free-fall (similar to Alexandra's current song). It is getting quite an early release, only 3 weeks of proper radio airplay (radio 1)!!
March 16, 201213 yr I have no idea. I don't like it one bit, I loved his last album and the soul/rap mix. This is just
