So Ellie probably will go Top 10 soon then? Very unexpected out of everyone for her to just suddenly grow into a big hit in the US

Agree.

Also Ed Sheeran reached his highest peak thus far at 169.

I remember us shitting ourselves with excitement when she was at about 150 :w00t:

Good times eh? I would have been happy with a top 75 hit back then!

EDIT: Want U Back  #97!

Those were the days

It's so amazing to see ANY artist slowly go up and up, let alone a British artist in America who I love! It's just crazy, I can't quite believe it's happening, especially with Lights of all songs she has

It really wouldn't surprised me if The A Team follows in Lights' footsteps and very, very slowly climbs until it's eventually a sizeable top 20 hit at least.

I know Ellie has only reached 76 with her album but I think the success of lights and critical acclaim of the first album will mean the second album goes top 20 in the US.

I'd like that, but what I don't understand is that I thought it would happen a lot faster as he's been getting really good press of the get-go unlike Ellie who had to work for it. Plus he seemed to have built an online following, got lots of internet coverage and the 1D connection.

The album has actually been rising a lot recently! It's currently somewhere like #120. I think it's possible she'll re-peak!

Ellie's album needs to re-peak! Especially if Lights goes Top 10 soon, which it might given the slow rise in sales and airplay. what's she pushing for a 2nd single?
There likely won't be a second single. Her new album's nearly done and unless they hold back that release in the US, there's no time for a second single from Lights.

Well that would make sense.

Also I'm noticing Cher Lloyd going up again, 83 on the chart. Who would've thought 3-4 yrs ago that the US iTunes would become home to so many UK X Factor alumni? :)

Chers actually doing well, I know its not a mega hit but shes been hanging up for a while now and starting moving up again.
Cher Lloyd, number 74 now and The wanted Chasing The Sun at number 72 :yahoo:

And Rita Ora finally top 100 at #96!
Just noticed Titanium is up to number 13! When did that creep up there? Will this be the first David Guetta hit in the US that is not attatched to an already successful superstar?
